Foundation Method
I have the Mixing & Mastering Cheatsheet but it doesn't have the Foundation Method page. Is it supposed to have it?

I missed how to do this ... how?
Fix the Mix Final Assignment
Here's the link to my attempt to use Jake's process, tips, & suggestions. I didn't use all stock & free plugins. Let me know where you guys think I went off the rails. https://tinyurl.com/Mississippi-Woman This was recorded in Ableton Live 11 using combo of MIDI & live instruments. Plugins used after volume adjustments were: Hornet Normalizer, bx Cleansweep Pro, bx-console Focusrite SC, bx-console SSL 4000E, Sonible Entropy:EQ+, Waves H-Comp, Waves Vocal Rider, Waves Abbey Road Chambers, IKM TR5 Suite

Why not shampoo-n-conditioner-in-one for mix/master?
Yesterday (I think Caleb) said something like "never try to master while mixing, always master mixdowns" ...Question: Why not "do everything at once" in the DAW so to speak ???

The simple answer is Objectivity
Ableton normalizing
Question for my fellow Ableton users--is there a way to normalize tracks/clips without bouncing/exporting them? Trying to save myself the extra work of creating an entirely new session, since I have a bunch of routing, groups, etc already in my current session. I have bounced all MIDI to WAV files, and freezed/flattened the tracks. Presumably, the next step is to normalize before I begin volume balancing.

Join (or rejoin your track) then in the clip, disable warp and double click the volume fader to bring the level to zero. I then use the Hornet Normalizer ($10) to set the โ€œnormalizedโ€ value. The default for the plug-in is -12 dB.
