What is your biggest income stream in music?
I’m genuinely curious how most musicians here are generating their revenue. It’s a conversation I often have with members of my team, because the answer says a lot about positioning, leverage, and long-term strategy. Are you relying mostly on live shows, publishing, streaming, production work, brand deals, or something else entirely? I’d love to hear how you’ve structured it.

@Giomero Brand most are musicians that teach or perform professionally. That's how I started as well. Having taught 1000s of students, it's hard to keep track of what happens with all of them. I started composing music for myself not too long ago. I had a few tracks accepted for Netflix and Apple libraries, but haven't done too much, which is why I'm here.
Mobile Studio
Hi there! I finally decided to put together a mobile studio so I can keep working even when I’m away from home. I was curious to hear what your mobile setup looks like, if you’re using one. Here’s what I’m currently working with: - MSI 15" PC with 64 GB RAM - 2 TB NVMe SSD for a selection of libraries that let me sketch or build a full track - Arturia MicroLab MK3 - iPad Pro as a second screen when needed - Stream Deck Mobile on my phone Still refining it, but it’s already proving pretty useful.

@Giuseppe Corcella I'll be building something similar. Being able to get something meaningful done while traveling is a big help. I'm split between two locations. I didn't know about Stream Deck Mobile. I'll be looking into that. Thanks for the helpful post. 🤘🏻

@Giuseppe Corcella I've seen the hardware. I never knew they had an app version. It does look like it would help improve my workflow.
Best places to get feedback on cinematic music?
Hey all, I'm working full time but when I have time I'm producing cinematic music. However outside of this community I dont really have friends or other groups of folks that I can bounce tracks off of. All my other friends produce different kinds of music and/or aren't interested in what im doing HA. Anyways, do you guys have a good place for getting feedback on cinematic tracks you're working on by other professionals or folks in similar genre? Thanks so much, also interested in hearing other peoples WIP tracks.

@Lex Windle just tried to listen. The link went to "Could not find that user".
Creative + Business Balance
Something I’ve been thinking about: balancing creativity and business. Some days I’m deep in songwriting mode, other days I’m learning how to position myself better as an artist. How do you all split your time between making music and building the business side of your career? Curious what routines work for you.

@Frank Herrlinger I appreciate your insight. I've been trying to balance the artistry with a full-time teaching gig. They don't always go together.

@Frank Herrlinger Yes. I have been a band director for 22 years. It's great that you are able to full time with it.
