When My Daughter’s Spark Dimmed, I Knew I Had to Leave
There was a moment I couldn’t ignore anymore. "When My Daughter’s Spark Dimmed, I Knew I Had to Leave" Blog Post My daughter used to come home from the playground full of stories. The swing. The slide. The toys. The laughter. Then one day, the stories stopped. Her eyes went quiet. Her spark was gone. That’s when I understood that the abuse wasn’t just affecting me anymore. Children don’t always have words, but their bodies tell the truth. Apathy. Withdrawal. Sudden changes. Loss of joy. We are often told to stay for the kids. To endure. To sacrifice ourselves in the name of family. But children do not need us to tolerate harm to prove love. They need us to protect their sense of safety, their bodies, their inner world. We are often told to stay for the kids. But I learned something different. We leave for the kids. If this resonates, trust yourself. Your intuition is not wrong 🤍 Go check out my new Blog Post where I go a bit deeper into this subject and share my story . Mom Guilt ( 7am thoughts )
You are doing amazing mom 💖 Mom guilt will always try to find something. If it’s not this… it’ll be something else. That’s what happens when you love deeply, but guilt is not proof you’re failing, it’s proof you care. You don’t have to earn your worth as a mother by running yourself into the ground, you’re allowed to grow, you’re allowed to build something for yourself, you’re allowed to take up space in your own life too. Specially as your kids grow... Your kids don’t need all of you exhausted…they need you present, human, and real. You’re doing better than you think. Welcome to my 7 am thoughts while kids are still asleep ( the only quiet time I have to speak on camera) ✨ What’s been weighing on your heart lately?
