I was in Bancroft yesterday at the Gemboree, wondering if anyone else went!? It was awesome! Got this geode! God really does create beautiful things!

Following the float paid off once again, leading me to another source vein of quartz hidden in the mountains. This vein is heavily iron-rich, with so much iron staining that parts of the rock have turned deep red and orange. Even better, some pieces are showing beautiful natural rainbow flashes within the quartz.🪨 The hunt is far from over. My next step is to test these samples for sulphides and continue tracking this system in search of larger deposits. Every piece of float tells a story, and sometimes all it takes is following the clues uphill. Have you ever found a quartz vein with natural rainbow flashes?
