This week I added a few new pieces to the forest - a little house inside a tree, a pathway, a lantern by the door, and a small hobbit-style house with moss and a chimney. It’s still growing slowly, but it’s starting to feel more and more like Fairyland. Thanks so much for following along. What was your favorite part of Week 2?

My nephew, his wife and 9-yr-old daughter were visiting this week so I thought this would be a good opportunity to make fairy houses. The first day, we rolled out clay and molded onto glass juice bottles and baked them. The next day, we all foraged for materials from my yard and this is the result - magic! (Mine is the one with the pink door and Topo Chico bottle caps.) Does anyone have any ideas on how to anchor the glass bottle to a base? They will live outdoors.

Let’s talk about fairy stuff!!

I started a bedroom for my granddaughter when she was 2, and it’s evolved somewhat. Come the weekend, I’ll be upgrading her bed, from a single to a double or I think you in America call it a twin? But this is her room as it is now. I will be making it a little more “grown up” as she will be 10 later on in the year. I am hoping that she will still love the fae folk as her Nan does. :) Never underestimate a free wooden bed head and end, bush branches for the canopy, and a lovely photo backdrop! I also made the quilt. :)
