Thank you so much, Lo! I’m excited and, honestly, I feel relieved. Deep down, this is truly what I wanted. I think part of my struggle was feeling like I had to follow what society says I’m supposed to do which is be realistic and pursue a “professional career.” This season of my life is all about alignment. I’m choosing what aligns with my energy and what genuinely lights me up. Anything that requires me to constantly push against the grain is simply not for me, and that’s that! My job can pay the bills while I build the life and career I actually want, okaaaay?! Lol Something else happened before I even received the quote that really stopped me in my tracks. I was talking to one of my mentors who is licensed and is working in the field. When I told her I was getting my machine ready, she encouraged me and said, “You can do this. You just have to be ready to give it your ALL! Practice like it’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner.” And that’s when it hit me. I don’t love this enough to give it breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Especially knowing how much work, sacrifice, and dedication would still be required once I actually entered the profession. I realized I could be giving that same energy to the craft I truly love and feel called to do. At the end of the day, I was pursuing this path for the money, and I’m simply not willing to take that much time and energy away from my dream to chase a paycheck. Then the quote came back, and that solidified it for me. Lol! Whew! 😅 I know for a fact that people can build careers from their dreams because I personally know several people who have done it. You’re an example! Watching your consistency with your lives and seeing how much you’ve grown is so inspiring. You’re having a great time doing what you love while making an impact on so many people, including my nephew! You play old school music from our generation and it somehow resonates with a seven-year-old! That’s powerful! I can’t wait to see how far you take this thang! 🔥
