Hi everyone! I'm Michael from Brazil, currently living on Vancouver Island, Canada. My main goal is to take my english to the next level this year. Not only my pronunciation need work, but my grammar and vocabulary too. I lived in Ireland in 2017. Back then I had zero english and I was able to improve it to B1 in a matter of 6 months. Since then I feel that my speaking skills have improved a lot but not very effective. I still struggle to keep long and more complex daily conversations. I am here because I am tired of lying to myself. Tired of not knowing if I am spelling words properly when I have to write something. Tired of relying on AI to help me write all my emails at work. Tired of having to repeat the same sentence over and over to be understood. Tired of not being able to advance in my career because my words sounds not very clear to native speakers making me look dumber even when I am more qualified and capable then most people in my field of work. I am excited to be here and I look forward to be one of first MacKenzie's student. If I get closer to 60% of her pronunciation and rhythm by the end of next year I will consider myself a truly champion.
