People need to realize, like Javier Milei apparently does, that political Islam (Jihadism) is a serious international political movement that must be countered. Islamists of the type we see among the Ayatollahs and all those Jihadi subgroups like Hamas and Hez and the Houthis and Boka Haram, and all their friends in western Europe, oppress women, seek to kill Jews, and strive for the fall of western liberal democracy. Part of the problem we’ve got is that progressives, along with the groyper right-wing, are so racist toward “people-of-color” that they don’t believe that they can possibly be a threat. But Jihadism is a threat and it must be beat back into oblivion.

Why Doesn't the US Stand Strongly with Pahlavi?
I don't understand why the Trump Administration did not work with Pahlavi behind the scenes to organize Iranian resistance to the Ayatollahs before the first shot was fired. Why the hell doesn't the administration stand up vocally and consistently and persistently for Pahlavi and the freedom of the Iranian people?! The US and Israel are trying to free the Persian people from Jihadist tyranny not only as a matter of justice for those people so that they can best pursue their interests, but in order to make sure our grandchildren aren't nuked to smithereens sometime in the future! The argument in favor of overthrowing Jihadism as an international political movement couldn't be more obvious. Jihadism is a violent, theocratic, authoritarian political ideology that oppresses women, despises the West, and seeks the genocide of the Jews within living memory of the Holocaust. None of those statements are controversial as a matter of fact-based truth. The Ayatollahs are enemies to the West for religious reasons and they have millions and millions of followers and enablers all around the world, including in positions of great power in the United States.

@Daniel Bell Part of the problem is the language that we use. People don't understand the difference between "socialism" and "communism" -- nor, as an aside, the difference between "social democracy" and "democratic socialism" -- and often use them interchangeably. Communism has never existed because it represents a sort-of classless socialist utopia wherein the state is eliminated and currency no longer necessary. When we call people communist, we basically mean socialist. I would argue that what we are seeing now is not a 1950s-style "Red Scare," with the implication that the concern is overblown. The truth is that via AOC and Bernie and Mayor Mommy-Daddy, socialism is making tremendous in-roads into the Democratic Party. I think it (along with its Christian Nationalist counterpart on the right) is dangerous as hell to both the Jewish people and the well-being of the US going forward. American politics is out of control and makes me want to purchase a log house in the middle of western North Carolina mountain country and just hide away from all this nonsense as I smoke pot and fish for rainbow trout.

I gave up on the Democrats during Obama's first term. This wasn't because of Obama, but because around that time I started participating on Daily Kos as "Karmafish" and saw, up-close-and-personal, the emerging antizionism and anti-Americanism of the Democratic Party grassroots. Frankly, I'm surprised it took Dershowitz THIS long.
