I want to say smth…
smth that people don’t say that often. cause they show you the shiny side of the story. and forget about the other side. the dark side of the moon. cause… building a business is hard. f*cking hard. and lonely. so. If you ever feel the need to talk, DM me. does not matter the level. that’s all. no pitch. no catch. open door

appreciated! and true. The tagline for my tool is "Never Write Alone Again". Authors are a very lonely lot.
should i push or should i not?
big question ppl. communities thrive on engagement. so, many ppl use Leaderboard levels as a bonus - price to motivate ppl to participate. i do not like it... cause it seems a bit manipulative. and it feels a bit fake. yet, i do use it, randomly. now, my question is... should i double down on it? - lvl 3 gets this - 30 day leaderboards leaders get this etc, etc. i understand the mechanics. and why it works. i just cannot decide if this benefits YOU. and my formula, is always: WIN-WIN-WIN: - i win - you win - your ppl win and i am happy to do everything (pretty much, no nudes involved), to achieve this formula. so, yes or no - let's make it simple. should i use leaderboard and active members for 7/30 days to give some bonuses.

I voted no because its hard to keep up with everything now. 99+ messages in the following skool chats, social media email, actual communications with my users and team. Its all too much to keep up with this competition and leaderboard, etc. I agree its a tactic that does work for some. But for a neuro divergent it can be as much a barrier as a goal reward sometimes
Where are your "quality" community members are coming?
when i say "quality", i mean people - who engage with your posts - participate in live events - go through your classes - and most importantly, upgrade to paid obviously, ppl who spam the group are NOT quality ppl, duh. yesterday, i looked at the Members tab & checked banned list, 23 out of 26 banned are from Skool Network 😱 today, i am smarter, and i no longer allow members with High Risk Score. just to avoid this. yet, i still get those spammers from Skool Network (sigh). so, where do HIGHEST quality community members come from? here is my list (feel free to add below) - referrals from other members - live events in other communities - quality comments /posts i do in other communities - direct invites from conversations and personal invitations (thanks to @Auli Takala for reminder) in my experience, live events in other communities is one of the most efficient one - cause you get maximum exposure by presenting live. it appears, it's not just me, @Des Dreckett - who many of you know well also thinks that way! and will be laying out his case for live events at today's workshop - The RoadShow Effect, 4th August at 5 p.m. UK time. bring your questions, or post them below for Des to reply now or during the workshop ⬇️

But how do direct invites not seem like spam to the receiver. I had thought of trying the old Instagram strategy of following others to get them to follow back

@Lidia Axe I do this but I also do not want to seem a poacher in another group. Its a fine line

@Lidia Axe That's an interesting one, but time consuming as well. My daily life would probably keep me out of this one...but I would watch and learn from it

My skool is support writeres in general and more specifically for my specialized set of writing Skills which are all built in the same claude project. I just asked "research everything in this project for 11 high value seo keywords". Having doen extensive SEO in the past though it really depebds on their search algorithm whether two or three word phrases are better than single word keyword and this has not been made clear
