LinkedIn Automation to Find Leads
Has anybody in here built an automation that finds tech CEOs, founders, or owners who are posting vertical videos on LinkedIn? The goal: find these types of people who are posting video content so we can comment on their posts and convert them into paying customers. I know a business I’ve just helped with two other automations that it's in the business of helping tech CEOs create better content. We could could probably charge between $1,000 to $1,500 if we can deliver qualified leads, since the leads are worth a lot to him. And the automation would pay for itself over time for him so there is a clear ROI. If anybody has built this before, let me know. What I’ve tried so far: Using Apify to search for keywords like CEO and then checking for video content. The hit rate is bad. Using Phantombuster to scrape other people’s followers and then clean those lists by finding the ones who post. The hit rate is so-so. One thing I think might work is using Selenium or Puppeteer, but there’s a risk of getting banned, so I’m a bit unsure about that solution. Either way, if somebody has built this before and knows how, let’s build it. I know we can get paid for a solution like this since I know he wants it.

Hey @Chris Jadama Yes I’ve built and deployed this type of LinkedIn lead discovery automation before, specifically for agencies targeting founders and tech CEOs who are already publishing short-form/video content. The key lesson from past implementations is that keyword-first scraping (CEO, founder, etc.) will always produce a low hit rate. LinkedIn’s content graph behaves very differently from its profile graph. The higher-accuracy approach is to start from content signals first, then enrich the profile, not the other way around. In previous projects, I’ve helped teams: - Identify accounts posting native video consistently (not just occasional uploads) - Filter by role (CEO/founder/owner) via secondary enrichment - Score leads based on posting frequency and engagement velocity - Feed only qualified profiles into commenting or outreach workflows This significantly outperformed Apify/Phantombuster-only setups and avoided heavy browser automation that risks bans. Happy to compare notes or collaborate if you’re serious about productising this. A $1k–$1.5k price point is very realistic if the lead quality is dialed in.

@Aleksandra Last Yeah, I get what you mean it can be frustrating when the useful n8n automations are stuck behind the paywall. I’ve actually found a few smart ways around that so you can still build solid workflows without needing the paid plan.
