Really need help
So I need someone that is working in a state that doesn’t allow nurses to compound to tell me exactly how to give meds. Are you actually pushing everything over 10-15 minutes? Do you run on a syringe pump? That seems impossible, and would take forever for each patient. Do you dilute in 50ml bags and run as secondary? Do you call it diluting and add it to your 1000ml bag? But then, surely you can only add one thing to it. Are people just praying they don’t get audited by their board, and adding whatever? And please don’t say, ask your medical director. If I go to court, they will not have my back. Does anyone have experience, or is group just people trying to get started?

Most of them are a 1-3 min or 3-5min push rate

No ma’am it doesn’t. You can still complete and IV in 30-60 mins. Yes you can run more than one at a time if they’re in the same room.
Custom compounded bags
In states where nurses can’t add vitamins to bags, where are y’all ordering your custom bags from? Or are you just pushing meds? Do your medical director protocols cover how you are to deliver the additives?

NAD+ CANNOT be given SIVP. If you cannot add to a bag you would have to do SQ or IM. SIVP wouldn’t add time to your bag at all. Each bag should be run over a minimum of 30 mins and most meds are around 2 mins to push.
