Weekly Prompt — The Pattern You Keep Repeating
Before people can recognize your leadership, you have to recognize the pattern in how you show up. Think about three moments in your career where you stepped in, spoke up, or led in some way. Do not explain them yet. Do not justify them. Just list the moments. Guidelines: - Three bullets or short sentences - No analysis - No conclusions This is about surfacing raw material, not interpretation. Post your response below.

Why I Built This Community
I built this community because I kept seeing the same problem repeat itself. Capable people were doing solid work, but when it came time to explain that work, advocate for themselves, or lead, the signal got lost. Not because they lacked skill, but because they lacked a clean way to tell their story. I watched opportunities hinge on short conversations. Meetings. Interviews. Introductions. The people who moved forward were not always the most qualified. They were the clearest. This community exists to work on that gap. The goal here is not performance or visibility for its own sake. It is to help you speak and act in ways that project credibility, leadership, and authority when it matters. If you engage with the structure and apply the work outside this space, this will compound. That is the expectation.

I hope to communicate as clear and concise as you 😌
Wins and Progress
Use this thread to document progress. A win does not have to be a promotion or an offer. It can be clarity, a better conversation, or a decision you avoided for too long and finally made. Guidelines: - Keep it specific - Focus on what changed or moved - Avoid motivational speeches If you can clearly describe the win, you are more likely to repeat it. If you cannot, there is probably more signal to extract. Post your wins or progress below.

I rejoined a financial accountability group for a second year and gained clearer visibility into my spending patterns. Through regular 1:1 meetings, I created and maintained a budget and consistently tracked expenses. The group encouraged me to pursue a higher-paying role, which I actively explored. I developed a working understanding of investing and registered tax-sheltered accounts, which resulted in an additional income stream. As a result, my financial decisions became more structured and intentional. My confidence in managing money increased due to measurable progress and knowledge gained, which I am so proud of myself for 😌

Weekly Prompt: When You Spoke Up or Led
This community focuses on using storytelling to project credibility, leadership, and authority in careers and job searching. Authority shows up when you speak or act, not when you wait to be recognized. Think about a specific time you spoke up or led an initiative at work. It could be a meeting, a project, a problem no one wanted to own, or a moment where you stepped forward without permission. Write about that moment. Guidelines: - 5–7 sentences - No emotional framing - No long setup - Focus on what you said or did, and what changed afterward This is about leadership in motion, not titles or intentions. Post your response below.

I identified a risk in our existing Adobe signing process when contract terms were modified after the first of two required signatures was applied. I recommended pivoting to DocuSign to ensure document integrity and prevent post-signature changes. I was asked to lead the implementation and coordinated meetings with DocuSign, internal stakeholders, and administrative colleagues to assess requirements and workflows. I managed vendor discussions, aligned approval processes, and oversaw configuration and testing. Training materials and guidance were provided to admins to support adoption. As a result, we implemented a more secure signing process that eliminated the identified risk and improved contract governance. I am always looking for feedback - since I believe project management would be a logical to pivot for me.

@Cece Messou nice work Cece; I.e used annually as a refresher. I’m so happy to see you in this space
Welcome to the community. Let’s get things moving.
Start by introducing yourself. Keep it simple and grounded. Share: - What you currently do or are working toward - One career goal you’re actively focused on - One area where you want more clarity or leverage - Where you’re based - One non-career thing you enjoy or spend time on This community works best when people show up thoughtfully, read each other carefully, and help each other sharpen how they think and communicate. Post your intro and let’s start from there.

I’m currently working as an executive assistant and actively focused on updating my skills by learning and using AI tools like Copilot. Right now, I’m seeking more clarity and leverage around potential career pivots that align with my experience and transferable skills. I’m based in Etobicoke, and outside of work, I enjoy playfully terrorizing my fiancé and son 😆, investing, volunteering, and going for walks.

@Moyo Adesina We have similar goals. I’ve also been exploring a potential pivot into project management but am unsure how to make the transition, whether my experience as an executive assistant would be relevant, and what kind of education or schooling might be required. I really enjoyed reading your bio and love the name of your podcast—so cute. Congratulations on your journey.
