Submit your Q's for Ayana's Q&A TOMORROW!
SO excited to see you all at our (long awaited) Q&A with NYT Bestselling Author Ayana Gray tomorrow! If you haven't attended a Q&A live yet, IT IS WORTH IT! They're amazing. Plus, you'll be entered to win Ayana's latest book, Hawk & Sparrow. If you aren't familiar with Ayana, here's a little info about her career to get you started thinking about questions: (1) She builds fantasy on a foundation of real research. Her worlds are rooted in actual mythology and history, not vibes. (2) She refuses to be pigeonholed. So far, she's switched register entirely 3 times in her career: pan-African YA epic fantasy → adult Greek-myth retelling → Gilded Age YA romantasy-mystery. DROP YOUR QUESTIONS BELOW AND I'LL SEE YOU THERE! Click HERE if you want to add the event to your Google Calendar so you don't forget.

My question for Ayana! What has led her to changing up her register? Does she see herself switching it up again?
What's your favorite way to make time for writing?
I firmly believe that we have time for whatever we make time for - I'm just struggling to actually put that into practice haha. Where do you guys fit writing in your day? Or week?

The motivation for writing ebbs and flows for me but what has helped me get into a good groove is a journalling challenge with my neighborhood bookclub! We are following The Book of Alchemy. Doing a prompt a day and the camaraderie from my book club have helped me write consistently over the last few weeks and it feels great.
