Hello....Waving👋
I’m excited to be here and to learn from so many fabulous people. This past weekend I watched Project Hail Mary, and I was literally blown away. It is so encouraging to see a book adapted so well for the big screen. I mean, I’m now out here searching for my own Rocky to put on my desk. If you haven’t seen it, you need to go. Amaze, amaze, amaze.

How was your time at StoryCon???
First StoryCon
I attended StoryCon for the first time this year and really enjoyed it! I saw quite a few people I already knew, but met a lot more. I even got to meet in person the first editor I hired to help me with one of my books. Robin Patchen presented at the conference - she edited "I Was Called Barabbas." Glad I went!

So glad you had a great experience at StoryCon! We're so glad you came!
Hello!
Hi friends! I'm JoAnne. I've been writing stories since I was six, I love ridiculously long walks, and home is wherever I happen to be at the moment. I've done a fair bit of travel and have experienced a lot of things, but I'll never live long enough to see all the places I want to see, meet all the people I want to meet, and learn all the things I want to learn. My current WIP is a teen-superhero-origin-story-meets-psychological-thriller (how's that for dashes?) and I'm feeling utterly overwhelmed by the revision process. First drafts are a piece of cake for me, but drafts two through a million make up a vast expanse of uncharted territory that's frankly terrifying. Excited to connect with and get inspiration from y'all!

@M.D. House That's the goal! For me the terrifying part is the pressure of trying to figure out how to make what I actually have into what the story is supposed to be haha
