✝️ Good Friday Reflection
Today we pausenot out of routine, but out of reverence. Good Friday is a moment to slow down and truly reflect on what was accomplished on the cross. What looked like loss to the world was actually the greatest act of love and victory we’ve ever known. When Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), He wasn’t just speaking about His suffering ending, He was declaring that the work of redemption was complete. Every sin was paid for, every burden accounted for, and every barrier between us and God was removed. Nothing left undone. Nothing left for us to earn. And yet, many of us still live as if it’s not finished. We carry guilt that’s already been forgiven. We strive for approval that’s already been given. We wrestle with things He already took to the cross. Good Friday invites us to release what we were never meant to hold and to rest in what has already been secured. So today, take a moment to sit with this truth. Let it be personal. Let it be real. What does the cross mean to you—not just theologically, but personally? What are you still holding onto that Jesus already paid for? Today we don’t rush. Today we don’t strive. Today… we remember. 💬 Share one reflection or takeaway below, what does Good Friday mean to you?

The Cross symbolizes new life for me. If it weren't for that moment on the hill I'm positive my life would look very different. All of the intentional mistakes I've made (too many to count) would not have been forgiven. Now I get to live another day to get right with the one who died for my wrongs.

Resurrection Sunday is the culmination of God's promises to me. It signifies renewal....a fresh start if you will. It reminds me that I am important in his sight. No matter what occurs I am assured that Jesus is always standing in the gap for me. It's really hard to express the joy this season brings me. I guess you can tell this is one of my favorite holidays! 😊
Under Construction - Books of the Bible?
Hello everyone, I paused for a week or so to organize the classroom but haven’t forgotten you… So I hope you’ve been writing and planning your book. I’m back posting now and the classroom will be ready for you to start growing by Monday. Today I ask this question for your commenting… WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK OF THE BIBLE AND WHY?

Romans is my favorite book as it answers the who, what, when, why and how for me. There is no wondering whether we will make mistakes, or not, just as there is no doubt that salvation is for everyone despite these mistakes........
LENT DAY 3 - Crowned Thru Endurance
From Thorns to Thrones: Crowned Through Endurance Main Scripture James 1:12 (ESV) “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life…” Bible Teaching & Lent Connection Your manuscript describes Jesus enduring the crown of thorns and mockery. The crown of thorns symbolizes suffering — but the crown of life symbolizes victory. Lent teaches us: Endurance precedes elevation. Thorns do not cancel destiny. They refine it. Short Story / Testimonial A young teacher stayed in an under-resourced school despite low pay and criticism. Years later, her former students returned as doctors, entrepreneurs, and leaders — all crediting her belief in them. Her endurance crowned generations. Black History Connection – Madam C.J. Walker Entrepreneur and philanthropist. Connection: After experiencing poverty and loss, she built a business empire that empowered thousands of Black women. Lesson: Endurance under hardship produces legacy. Closing Prayer Lord, strengthen me to endure trials with faith. Turn my thorns into testimony. Prepare me for the crown that follows faithfulness. Amen.

@Deborah Walker I feel you! This one is a struggle for me as well. I feel like in the past I didn't really sacrifice anything. This time around is more difficult. I am truly taking accountability. I didn't just pick something to be picking it. I am determined to be successful this time around. God has proven to me time after time what his sacrifice meant in my life. Surely I can stay strong for 40 days!
Pre-LENT Day 1 - Make Space
COMMENT BELOW ... WHAT DOES MAKING SPACE FOR GOD MEAN TO YOU? Making Space Scripture – Psalm 46:10 (ESV) “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Word for the Day: Stillness Practical Teaching Before Lent begins, we must slow down. Lent is not something we rush into — it is something we enter. Stillness is the doorway to depth. If we never pause, we cannot hear. Jeremiah 33:3 Connection God promises to reveal “great and hidden things.” Hidden things require quiet spaces. Stillness prepares the ear for revelation. Going Beyond Tip Schedule 10 uninterrupted minutes today with no phone, no music — just silence before God. Black History Spotlight – Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays Who He Was:Dr. Benjamin E. Mays was a theologian, educator, and longtime president of Morehouse College. He mentored generations of leaders — including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Lesser-Known Fact:Before becoming a prominent educator, Mays spent years in disciplined theological study and spiritual formation. He was known for beginning each school year with deep spiritual reflection and moral vision-setting, not hype. His leadership was rooted in contemplation before action. He once said: “Not failure, but low aim is sin.” Why He Fits Day 1 (Stillness):Mays believed clarity comes from reflection. He understood that leaders must think deeply before moving publicly. Stillness shaped his vision. Prayer Lord, quiet my heart. Teach me to be still before You. Prepare me for deeper places as Lent approaches. Amen.

@Andre Reedy because the human side of us can have a tendency to outweigh the spiritual side. As we grow in our awareness the human in us should begin to diminish and make way for our spiritual man. It's in our nature to be distracted by the things of the world.
