I’ve been thinking a lot lately about refining the visual identity of my communities. I manage two different spaces: one is a professional paid community, and the other started as a personal project. For the latter, I’ve relied heavily on AI-generated images, which has been great for starting out, but I feel it’s time for a "refresh." I’m considering hiring a professional graphic designer or illustrator to bring a more cohesive and human touch to the brand. I know we usually talk about business and communities, but since I know many of you appreciate a good verse, I wanted to take a "poetic detour" today. In Argentina, we have a legendary poet named Alfonsina Storni. Her life was as powerful and dramatic as her writing, she was a pioneer, a single mother in the early 1900s, and a woman who fought for her place in a world that wasn't ready for her. Her story ends famously (and sadly) with her walking into the sea, but her voice remains alive and vibrating. I wanted to share a fragment of one of my favorite poems of hers, "Yo soy como la loba" (I am like the she-wolf), which I think resonates with many of us here trying to build something authentic and different: "I am like the she-wolf. I broke with the pack and went to the mountain black and lonely." To me, this is the ultimate anthem for anyone choosing their own path. It’s about the cost, and the beauty, of being yourself. Hi everyone, I’m Melody (33). I’m from Argentina, I’m a Pediatric Neurosurgeon, and I lead an academy for medical students and doctors in training. Here on Skool, I focus on building two communities that are my main passion projects right now. In one, I support neurodivergent individuals, and in the other, I guide health professionals to shape their own businesses with an ethical and human touch. To keep adding labels to the jars on the shelf, I was diagnosed as a child as Gifted and Autistic (Level 1), along with high-functioning ADHD traits. This makes my brain work like a kaleidoscope, constantly searching for patterns and new ways to understand reality. 🧩🌀 Beyond science, I’m the kind of person who would live traveling or lost in the silence of some distant village, surrounded by nature and animals. I love cinema, my favorite color is the sunset, and I have an eternal struggle with the textures of seafood, they overwhelm me at a level that’s not entirely rational 😅 I travel everywhere with my three cats, I play the drums, I get lost in books, and I live on coffee and intravenous Mate... I hope to find great connections in Ravi’s school and add my grain of sand to the mission you are all creating together.
