A piece of my heart for your Thursday: Meet Alfonsina 🌊✍️
I know we usually talk about business and communities, but since I know many of you appreciate a good verse, I wanted to take a "poetic detour" today.
In Argentina, we have a legendary poet named Alfonsina Storni. Her life was as powerful and dramatic as her writing, she was a pioneer, a single mother in the early 1900s, and a woman who fought for her place in a world that wasn't ready for her. Her story ends famously (and sadly) with her walking into the sea, but her voice remains alive and vibrating.
I wanted to share a fragment of one of my favorite poems of hers, "Yo soy como la loba" (I am like the she-wolf), which I think resonates with many of us here trying to build something authentic and different:
"I am like the she-wolf. I broke with the pack and went to the mountain black and lonely."
To me, this is the ultimate anthem for anyone choosing their own path. It’s about the cost, and the beauty, of being yourself.
