Art at work!
I threw together a classroom job board for my Pre-K class, and they voted for a space theme ✨ A few of them even requested that I add an alien 👽 I am adding one on Mondays. It’s not perfect, but it was so fun to design the astronaut and spaceship for this project, and my Pre-K Astronauts are so excited! I love how even the youngest creators have big ideas and strong opinions. Their creativity reminds me why I keep building spaces and classrooms where imagination leads the way. What’s a creative project you’ve done lately that felt fun or rewarding to create?

I keep a pile of clothes that I add to when holes arise and then when the pile is big enough I put on a movie and mend them all with custom embroidery and patches. This process is beautifullly therapeutic and the result is not only having the ability to keep wearing my clothes but also a growing uniqueness is gained in my wardrobe.

ART JAM — Art Walk Afterparty & Creative Hang
August 7th | 9PM–Midnight | Golden Roosters Underground Whether you're fresh from showing or just wandering the art walk, come wind down, make something, and connect with other artists, vendors, and creatives in a cozy, collaborative space. This is a super casual late-night session for drawing, painting, collaging, doodling — whatever your medium, bring it!I'll have some art supplies available, but it's limited, so definitely bring your own if you can. No vending, no performances, just connection and creative energy. Expect sticker swaps, social trades, maybe some collabs, and a bunch of weird, wonderful people doing their thing at their own pace. Come solo or bring some friends, no pressure, no pretentious vibes. Just art, chill, and good company. Let me know if you're coming or have questions!

Share your Insta below, and Let me tell you why.
Sharing your social media isn’t just self-promotion. It’s connection. It’s storytelling. It’s community-building. And science backs it up. Psychology shows that familiarity breeds trust. The more often people see your work, the more likely they are to support it. This is called the mere exposure effect, and it works especially well in creative communities, where personal connection is often the bridge between browsing and buying. Marketing research also shows that most buyers need to see something seven or more times before they make a purchase or follow. If you’re only posting in one space or hiding your handle like it’s a secret, you’re missing out on opportunities to grow. Cross pollinating local communities, and sharing your art profiles in spaces where creative people already gather creates more visibility for everyone. It can turn your feed into a gallery, and your presence into inspiration. One new local follower could be your next collaborator, or collector. You don’t have to be a marketing bro to get your work out there. You just have to show up. Drop your handle. Let us see what you’re working on!

🐝 @megsymakesmagic I'm just beginning to hone in on storytelling as a major part of my brand. I haven't started considering what that will look like for social media just yet.
