Client Recurring Payments
Good morning, I'm wondering if anyone can help, I've set up my first client to automatically pay through QBO, and it worked! However it paid a few days early for some reason, and I want to go into the recurring payment and make sure I have it set up right for future payments, and I'm not sure how to get to where I need to be in QBO, I can only find a receipt for the payment that already took place.
Questions about the List
Today I'm working on my list of leads and my offer, etc, and have some questions about the 5 clients in 7 days thing... If we're starting everyone at $99/mo, when and how do you ever raise your rate if you need to? And do you charge a setup or onboarding fee? Also if anyone has suggestions of faster ways to send the texts/emails, like in batches, that would be helpful, I'm not super tech savvy with that kind of thing. Same for finding leads. Thanks, hope all you bookkeepers are having a great week!
FIRST CLIENT!
I JUST GOT MY 1ST SIGNED CONTRACT!!!!!!!! EEEEEK!!!! Ummm, what do I do now?! 😆 He's already set up in QBO and I've asked for access. I have his payment info but I don't know where to put it in QBO and how to charge him, can someone point me in the right direction please? I'm panicking and not sure what else I'm forgetting. 🥳🥳🥳

@Melissa Broughton Thanks for the suggestion, I will join office hours. I'm going to put a pin in this until tomorrow, calm down and celebrate my win! It doesn't have to be figured out tonight. 😃 Thank you, glad I'm not alone in this!

@Melissa Broughton Ok, I was able to get this last part done this morning, thank you for those instructions! Now I'm back to your video above and setting up the recurring payment but I'm not sure if I should proceed before figuring out the other part...(and I am planning on attending office hours on Thurs.) What I'm struggling with now is: When I log into QBO, it asks me what Company I want, mine or this client. Once I'm into one or the other, I can't find a way to switch between them without logging out and back in. Is it possible he gave me the wrong type of access to his account or is it supposed to be set up this way?
Potential Client
I have a potential client who has 4 years of retroactive bookkeeping for me to do he has to get it done for a lawsuit. It's a lot of money so I don't want to let this go. But he has been telling me he'll be ready for me to start in two weeks...since September. He has not yet signed my contract even though I sent it to him months ago. I'm not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions how to follow-up with him at this point?

@Amanda Ramos thank you. This is a hard one because I quoted him a ridiculously high number and he had no problem with it, and I really need the money, but I can see that I'm likely wasting my time. Thanks for your help.

@Melissa Broughton thank you.
Business Naming
Hello! I'm in week 1 and I'm trying to name my business, and I'm curious what names some of you came up with for yours. I had already ordered business cards and set up my business bank acct just using my name ("Megan Charette Bookkeeping") but I don't want my name out there like that, so I think coming up with a different name at this point makes sense while it's not a huge deal to change. I think I can just use the business cards I have and then change them when I order again...? Does that make sense? I want to focus, eventually, on supporting minority owned businesses. One idea I had was Better Together Bookkeeping. What do you all think? Do you have any other suggestions? I'm also leaning toward incorporating "Gem" but "Gem Bookkeeping" already exists. Thanks for your feedback!
