for me even if it sounds silly i like using binaural beats then a 45 minute pomodoro timer (the specific time doesn't really matter more that you're telling your brain that you have one task and this is your sprint to finish it) then if i have some thoughts or tasks i need to resolve that i think about during this time period i have a notes app (i call it a "parking lot") where i park these potential distractions and i can return back to them after i've finished the task at hand -- hope this helps :)
