Coming Out of A Difficult Last Few Years? Welcome.
On our first virtual call in the fall, We asked, "Who here is coming out of a difficult period in their life?" Almost every person raised their hand. It makes sense. The last few years have been an awakening for the entire world- and every single one of us has our own version of that- through the change that's occurred in our own lives. In speaking to other members in different communities, it's clear- SO many people have joined Skool after tremendous change in their life. Many of us are still working through it. If this is you, Comment: -How has your life changed in the last few years that was suddenly alarming to you? -How do you think it's made you better/stronger? It's an honor to gather here after this period in all of our lives. We are hopeful that this change (although difficult) brings us closer to the version of ourselves we dreamed of.

Two things initially come to mind: 1. Was fired from a job where I was considered a great employee there. Reason I was fired was for trying to help/inspire someone struggling so really hurt. However, in doing so I technically broke a policy - This really made me think different about the world, where I come from, and I started having a very dark view on the world. I still honestly kinda do, but am more so finding peace with it. Made me have love towards everyone because we all eventually die and death does not discriminate. Taught power of forgiveness. 2. Friend took his own life - This person was perfect and incredible. Showed me how cruel our world is and unfair. Showed me you never know what people are going threw, be kind always. We literally all suffer so try to make peace while we are here. We are on the same team/there are for the most part should be enough resources to go around. A lot seems to kind of be built on competition and egos but I don't really see myself or better or worse than anyone. Just existing like everyone else.
2nd Meetup in the 📚
@Zakia Ahm and I hosted our 2nd meetup last night. We caught up around the fountain, sipped some hot chocolate, bought sweaters, and headed over for some karaoke! 📣 shoutout to @Maxwell Riseman (and friends) @Chanie Twersky @Cara Oyler , Jared, and my wife Laraine for showing up! If you have any pics you can share, please do. Next month, @Zakia Ahm is working on securing office space, where we'll be able to dive into all things Skool so you can walk away feeling good about the direction of your Skool too. Many thanks o @Goose Dunlavey @Tony Loew and team for providing the opportunity to serve NYC Skoolers 🙏🏢🍎❤️ 🙌
