@Artur Rozmysł Artur I think your enthusiasm for the project is quite apparent. Amazing! You have a lot of experience, no doubt. There's so much here... Let's just take the military service bit. I hear you, there's always two sides to every coin. So you were sick and tired of school indoctrination, I understand that. And yet you too probably grew up rather privileged, no? I know I did. So in my case embracing a challenge such as military service would have been a good idea. Not sure it's a quick fix, after all, it takes a year or so. But in the grand scheme of things, yes, it's probably a kind of cheat code to help littles bitches like myself man up and enter their 20s with their shoulders back and chest out, figuratively and literally. There's a lot to be said for its usefulness in today's day and age of coddled kids. But I'm repeating myself. The video said it first. If porn was just a symptom or the actual issue, great question. But I do think it was the actual issue. If internet porn hadn't been around, I'm not sure something else would have captured and distracted and sedated me as much as it did, given that it mainly interferes with your sexual energy. That's a BIG big part of becoming a man, learning to channel it properly. IMO porn makes that more difficult by orders of magnitude--it creates an unnecessarily difficult challenge because it hijacks your brain while it's just beginning to form. I started when I was 14, now kids start way earlier, like age 9. That's nuts. What kind of other issue could porn be a symptom of, in the absence of childhood trauma like in my case? We could sit here all day and philosophize but the distraction of porn and lack of structure (now referring to military service again) didn't do me good. Same goes for lacking a more formal education filmmaking path. Let's leave it at that ;) But way to take the conversation to the next level and expand our horizon, keep 'em coming!
