Nice video and message
Keeping Mark in our prayers today.
I want to start out by thanking Mark and Paul for putting this site together. I think a lot of good things get shared here. With that in mind I want everyone to take a moment and lift Mark, his family, his surgeon and supporting staff up to God and ask for the best possible outcome today as he goes into heart surgery. He may be a wimpy hockey player, but he is doing God’s work and we know that Satin will do everything possible to stop him. So I am asking for prayers of protection, comfort and an easy rehab for him. Also for the doctors that their hands be steady, minds sharp and that no detail is missed.

Everyone! Mark really needs our prayers. The heart surgery went well, but there have been some complication in other areas that have kept him in the hospital far longer than anyone thought. Let’s ask God for complete healing immediately. Thank you in advance. Be blessed today!

Death
When you think about death, what comes to mind? Tonight I was having dinner with a crew member and he hands me a piece of paper that he has had in his wallet for about four years. He asked me to read it. When I did it had some very dark thoughts on it, about how we don’t know how it all ends. He asked me what I thought about what he had written. I told him that when I died I was going to go be with my creator and get a new body, celebrate, so I don’t really care it ends here. I told him I hope I go quick and don’t suffer, but I can’t wait to meet our Lord. He gave me a strange look and tried to explain to me about how all of the losses of friends/family, relationships, jobs were all deaths of some sort, but the one big one we know very little about. I told him that when he comes to Jesus he won’t be worrying about what he had written when he was in a dark place. He just nodded and went on with his dinner. How would you guys handled it? It was very strange, but gave me an opening to speak about our savior.

Pebbles
I was recently reading about two coves in California a few miles apart. One where the waves pound the coast and one where the coast is protected from the pounding of the waves. Pebble Beach is the cove that gets the raging white surf that pounds the shore continually where the stones are trapped, being tossed, rolled and rubbed together. Their edges go from being rough to rounded and constantly polished. Eventually people come there, picking up the well worn polished stone to take home and display. The other cove is where the sun shines, the pebbles are protected, and is a quite cove. The beaches are covered with an abundance of pebbles never sought by travelers. These stones are left behind because they are rough and unpolished by the turmoil the Pebble Beach stones have been through. Since God knows where we are supposed to end up and what role we are to fill, shouldn’t we let the great sculptor, polisher, creator create in us what He desires from us? Let us trust Him to grind, mold, and make us into something special. I want to be a polished person that God takes home and puts on display. Sculpt me oh Lord!
