What are your favorite books?
Hey fellas, as you probably know Manu and I are big on reading. We love to learn and engage with a variety of subjects. Share with us the most impactful book you’ve read recently, and what you took from it, so we can all benefit from its gold! This can even deepen your own learning, by reflecting on what insights you gained. Make a post with your favorite books, engage with each other, ask questions, let’s support each others learning. What subjects do you want to explore, research, learn about? Post about it and ask for recommendations on resources, books, podcasts, etc. Help each other grow and learn! This space is an opportunity to build connections around deeper, and more meaningful interests. We hear all the time how much men yearn for the opportunity to talk about your passions and inquiries. That is why we have created this group. It is not only for us to share what we know, but a chance for you to support, and get supported, by one another.

@Jah Billy You know I used to say this, and believe this, that I am the author of my life. And I reckon that I don't exactly know what the other fellow meant above by 'the book of life, always and only'. However I feel like sharing that in fact we're barely the author of our life, meaning most of the time I am still controlled by my habits, thoughts, tendencies, beliefs, fears, pride, etc. And that most of my life is being authored by that. Once I humbled myself to really embrace this, I then started leaning deeper into the insights and beliefs of others (such as those found in quality books, podcasts, etc) and then tested them over the long term to see how effective they were (or weren't). Not sure if any of this makes sense, but I felt like pointing it out for conversation, seeing as we are in School with Reko and Manu here and dialogue is a huge part of that. And maybe what the I Am Life fellow meant was this too: that life is about humility, experiences, and learning that we don't know what we don't know; and not being too proud to admit it; and finally, being willing to take daring action in directions that are contrary to our current opinions and beliefs for the sake of the greater good. If that's what the 'book of life' is referring to, then I 100% concur that that is the greatest book of all time.

@I am Life Good afternoon I am Life. I appreciate your response. And I acknowledge your empathetic listening skills. To answer your question: my I AM. ;) :) Furthermore I enjoy conversing here and acknowledge us both for breaking the ice in a news men's group online forum.
