Am I missing something?
I've issued the 3 notices to a solicitor acting for a private parking company. The solicitors actually incorporated 2 years after the alleged contractual event (slight side bar). Before I went to the ICO they sent a flurry of letters dated very randomly (1 was dated Feb 2025 but received in May) and then asserted that they had replied to every DSAR I sent (none were ever received on the dates they gave me). Withing the paperwork they included a scan of the apparent original paperwork that showed the 'PCN' wasn't generated until the 14th day after 'offence" and so I wouldn't have received it until the 18th day. I wrote back highlighting they didn't send what they sent but pointing out that the document they are relying on is outside the 14 days and as I am not in contract with either them or any other entity then this is null and void. They have acknowledged that I would have received the PCN outside the but basically say "but that's ok, you still owe us the money". I've used the chat bot and it suggested going back to them with a form of words to ask for their proof that they can legally proceed with this matter, but this is wandering from the GDPR line. Could anyone with more experience offer advice. It seems I either go back to them (stating I'm not in contract) and to prove how I am, or, as I've filed the 3 letters of notice to them do I just go back and tell them I am filing a complaint with the ICO? Thanks

@Peter Wilson thanks for the clarification. That's why I asked as I thought I was getting pulled off track. @Rafal Suliga response would get me back on track and then slot into the process in the classroom
