Hey Creators, What's new in your AI world? I have been overly consumed with the Corporate job. My boss is slowly trying to convert us into AI software engineers! Not everyone has the capacity or capability! But to make this AI mandate fun I have created some AI Challenges and games. Good thing I'm the creative type! Pickaxe Major Upgrade!
Hey Creators, If you use Pickaxe to build and host your AI agents/chatbots in Studiosā¦ have you seen the MASSIVE platform upgrade they just rolled out?! When I logged in, I felt like I walked into my house and somebody moved all the furniture overnight. They did a full revamp of the interface, navigation, layoutsā¦ pretty much everything. It definitely looks more modern and polished, but whewā¦ now I have to figure out where everything lives again. At this point, the tutorial and I are about to become close friends. One important heads-up for builders: You may need to manually go back into your agents and reselect LLM models if the original model you chose has been retired. And THIS is where my eye started twitching a little. Because if you have dozens or hundreds of agents, manually updating model selections one by one is a lot. Iām honestly surprised retired models arenāt automatically mapped to a recommended replacement model or at least bulk-managed somehow. So definitely check your Studios and test your agents to make sure everything is still functioning the way you expect after the update. The AI platform world right now is basically:āCongrats on the shiny new features. Alsoā¦ please rebuild half your workflow.ā

@Natasha Williams LOL, well... in that case, I hope you win the Tubi one, too! (It'd be nice to win both, though! š). And yeah, itās not āAI-related,ā but weāre not training our replacements here. Weāre amplifying ourselves. Walking a couple miles takes an hour; a car gets you 10x farther in a third of the time. AI is just the car. We still write the scripts and do the work (we just use the best tools available)!

People Think AI Can Do EVERYTHING from a Simple Prompt!
Hey Creators, One month into my new AI role in Techā¦ and wowāthat flew by. Hereās what Iāve learned so far: 1. People want results yesterday 2. They expect AI to do everythingā¦ instantlyā¦ from one vague promptā¦ with zero setup Likeācreate it today, expect it to run the company tomorrow, then get frustrated when it doesnāt. Meanwhile Iām over here likeā¦ Iād love AI to cook, clean, and cut my grass tooābut weāre not quite there yet š A big part of my job right now is resetting expectations: - What AI can do today - What it canāt do (yet) - And when a request isnāt an āAI agentāā¦ itās actually a full-blown enterprise solution in disguise Because thereās a difference between:āHelp me automate a taskāandāBuild me a fully integrated system that replaces an entire functionā And weāve got to be honest about that. All that saidā¦ this is just Month 1 heading into Month 2. Letās just sayāitās about to get very interesting.

NICE! LOLā¦ the āAgents solve everything!ā energy is real. And lately I keep seeing people talk about Terminal like itās some mystical AI dojo. For a minute I honestly thought āTerminalā was a Claudeāspecific tool ā then it hit me: "Ohā¦ you mean TERMINALāTerminal. Likeā¦ the Mac version of Command Prompt!" š Which cracked me up, because suddenly everyoneās acting like discovering a command line makes you a superāuser or a hacker from a 90s movie. Donāt get me wrong, command shells are powerful, and sometimes theyāre exactly the right tool. It just feels funny watching the hype cycle swing all the way back to: āIf you REALLY want to master AI, you must type arcane commands in a black box window.ā It reminds me of that old book "Real Men Use DOS." š Meanwhile, Iām over here like: Iām happy to just point and click if I can, as long as it gets the job done! HEY, I donāt need to rebuild the engine to drive the car. But I'm not mad, if someone likes the command line, more power to them (Actually, if I find that I have to use a command shell these days... Iām mostly just grateful I can copy/pasteā¦ AND that I can let AI handle the tedious parts so I type as little as possible. So ironic! š). It's wild watching the pendulum swing back to 1989 while weāre talking about 2026 AI.

Well, as I understand, there is a "terminal" inside Claude's environment (as well as command line tools for MacOS Terminal and Windows PowerShell, and probably Linnux bash)... But, still, I don't use command line shells, unless I have to! (I guess riding a horse can still be fun, and useful on certain trails, but for the most part, Iād rather drive a car or use a graphical use interface)! š š š
