Making AI Waves this Summer
Hey Creators! Happy summer! When I come up for air I will be more active again. Since March when I started this new AI role it’s been cray cray busy in a good kind of way. And as soon as I finish one micro-project a new one pops up. It’s like bop an AI Mole! Today I got a new one. My Boss asked me to present my AI program at the next CFO All Hands meeting IN 2 WEEKS! Even with AI it’s still nerve wracking. I think they expect even more because can use AI. So, this is how my summer has been. I don’t get a proper vacay until October!!! How’s your summer going so far?

Busy is good. (I suppose depending on where you go) October just might be perfect for vacation. Not too hot, not too crowded. (IDK, I guess this HOT July day is speaking and Fall's sounding kinda good about now)!.
Happy Saturday! What’s everyone working on?
Happy Saturday Creators! What’s everyone working on? Me, I’m creating some AI music videos to enter into the summer music video contest Revid is having! I think the prize is a year of credits which would most definitely come in handy! I am loving Revid but it’s not cheap!

CALCULUS! 🥴
Happy Friday!!
Hey Creators, What's new in your AI world? I have been overly consumed with the Corporate job. My boss is slowly trying to convert us into AI software engineers! Not everyone has the capacity or capability! But to make this AI mandate fun I have created some AI Challenges and games. Good thing I'm the creative type! So, my first game for Q2 is Who Wants to be a Bot Master! I turned the poster I created into a video using Kling. Came out nice. Check it out. https://pro.klingai.com/h5-app/invitation?code=7BWRZXJBCKZV
Happy Friday!!

@Natasha Williams Only you would respond to corporate chaos by creating a full game show and a cinematic trailer. This is why you’re the final boss of AI Creators! 😆 (And the Kling Poster to Video thing is awesome)!

A Typical Day Working in AI
Ever wonder what it's really like working in AI in Big Tech in Silicon Valley, the mecca of the tech and AI world? Let me tell you about a typical day for me. A typical day for me working in AI in Big Tech is a mix of strategy, creativity, problem-solving, and a lot of translation from processes into AI workflows, agents and automations. I might start the morning reviewing how teams are using AI, where they’re getting stuck, and which use cases are actually creating value. Then I may jump into a meeting to help shape AI training, brainstorm an adoption program, or design a role-based clinic that helps people understand how AI fits into their actual work. Some days I’m helping teams think through AI agents. Other days I’m building challenges, drafting enablement content, or showing professionals how to move from “I’m curious about AI” to “I can actually use this to work smarter.” Currently, I'm part of the new AI coilition where I am the sole AI builder for the company...preparing for the AI week of activities and company wide AI training starting in July in conjunction with the Learning & Development team. That's a little over 8k employees worldwide...ooh wee. What I enjoy most is that this work is not just about the technology. It is about people. It is about helping someone feel less intimidated by AI. It is about showing teams how to think differently. It is about turning abstract concepts into practical skills they can use right away. My audit and risk background still shows up in everything I do. I think about structure, controls, evidence, accountability, and responsible use. But now I get to combine that with innovation, storytelling, training, and human-centered design. That is what makes this work so exciting for me. Every day, I get to help people build confidence with AI through my AI Role Clinics I started back in May where I instruct professionals from over 20 countries across the globe how to not only incorporate AI into their daily workflows but also to discover new ways of working, preparing them for a future that is already here.

I really resonated with the part where you said it’s about helping people feel less intimidated by AI. That’s something I try to do too (cut through the hype, put things in perspective, and remind folks we’re all still learning this stuff). It’s only been a couple years of mainstream exposure, and the hype machine is always louder than the actual work. And honestly, this is something I’ve always appreciated about you. This isn’t new; you've been setting that example from the start. You share what actually works, you break things down without the “AI wizard guru” energy, and you show the process instead of pretending there’s some secret spellbook. You’re literally helping define the roles in a field that’s still forming, and doing it in a way that makes the space feel human instead of like a hype circus.
Pickaxe Major Upgrade!
Hey Creators, If you use Pickaxe to build and host your AI agents/chatbots in Studios… have you seen the MASSIVE platform upgrade they just rolled out?! When I logged in, I felt like I walked into my house and somebody moved all the furniture overnight. They did a full revamp of the interface, navigation, layouts… pretty much everything. It definitely looks more modern and polished, but whew… now I have to figure out where everything lives again. At this point, the tutorial and I are about to become close friends. One important heads-up for builders: You may need to manually go back into your agents and reselect LLM models if the original model you chose has been retired. And THIS is where my eye started twitching a little. Because if you have dozens or hundreds of agents, manually updating model selections one by one is a lot. I’m honestly surprised retired models aren’t automatically mapped to a recommended replacement model or at least bulk-managed somehow. So definitely check your Studios and test your agents to make sure everything is still functioning the way you expect after the update. The AI platform world right now is basically:“Congrats on the shiny new features. Also… please rebuild half your workflow.”

For as much as I've been hearing about it all this time, I've never actually got around to checking out PickAxe! LOL... But I do relate to the updates breaking everything dilemma! LOL
