Greenside bunkers in Arizona are so inconsistent as far as firmness, amount of sand, etc. How do you judge and adjust for the shot?
Advice on slowing down mental game
Knowing Charlie hand selected everyone, I know you’re all fantastic people and looking forward to meeting/hearing from you. In life, I am wired to rush rush rush whether it’s responding to a work email, or hurrying up to pull into the parking space so I don’t inconvenience the people Waiting behind me 😂 This translates against my favor on the golf course, the voice inside my head tells me to hurry up but in reality, a slower metal tempo is when I play my best. I’m a fast player in general, but notice if I’m a twosome jammed between foursomes, and I’m forced to slow down, this is when I play my best. What I’m asking the group, anyone that battles/battled this, any advice on how to force yourself to slow down, take your time, not feel Rushed, etc.? Also extremely relevant many rounds the first couple holes as I try to settle in, or when you’re paired with a nightmarish slow group and you (erroneously) feel like you need to hurry to make up for their slow a$$es. Welcome any advice from anyone!

@Shannon Letcher Yesss!!! That’s exactly the Type of stuff I’m talking about. I have gotten so much better the last few months slowing my mind down. For me it combines positive self-talk along with telling myself I don’t have to rush. basically telling myself in my head “This is going to be great, so take your time, it’s worth the extra time to hit an awesome shot” But I love the physical act to slow down.
USGA rules
I tried to google but found contradicting Info online so I’d rather post and get engagement points haha. Came up on the course just in casual conversation and my buddy and I both thought they changed the rules to allow you to ground a club in the bunker now. We googled to verify but that doesn’t look like the case. Are we thinking of something else?

@Dan Haynes awesome! I absolutely remember that change in the penalty area. And then we thought they changed some terminology in regards to penalty areas, waste areas, bunkers etc Good stuff!
How Points & Leveling Work in The Scoring Blueprint
Hey everyone! Now that Weeks 2-4 are live, wanted to break down how points and leveling work in the community — because they're not just for show. How you earn points: - Posting your homework/assignments - - Commenting and engaging on others' posts - - Getting likes on your posts and comments Why it matters: As you rack up points and level up, new weeks of the program unlock. So the more you show up, post your reps, and support other members, the faster you move through the full 30-Day Foundation. Check the Leaderboard tab to see where you stand and who's putting in the work. Coming soon: video walkthroughs for the core lessons (grip, setup, course management, practice structure, pre-shot routine, and more) to go alongside the written material. Written lessons are live now — no need to wait on those. Show up, post your work, help someone else improve. That's what levels you up here.

Hope all is well with everyone. How is everyone’s golf game coming along? Mine has been going the wrong direction because blow up holes have resurfaced and I dont like it lol

Mine had been cold and I tried to get with Charlie for a touch up but obviously summer is tougher. I reviewed all my notes from lessons, took like 5 days off and went out and played awesome the other day. (Helped playing Gainey Ranch which is much less difficult than most) but driver and hybrid magic returned. Felt like I was playing a video game.
