/grit - Claude Skill for hard days. File attached.
Three weeks ago I was staring at my laptop at 11pm, cash-flow spreadsheet open, wondering if I should just keep going or stop for the night. Every "productivity coach" I could find online would have told me to embrace the grind. My wife would have told me to go to sleep. Neither of those was actually useful in the moment. So I built what I wish I'd had. It's called /grit. It's a Claude skill (think of it as a custom coaching mode you install once and trigger with one command). It's not a chatbot. It's not a hype machine. It's four beats, built for the moment when entrepreneurship gets heavy and you can't tell if you should push, triage, or stop. Here's what it does: 1. Asks two questions. Not ten. Two. 2. Separates what you said into what's actually underneath. Most grit moments are three problems pretending to be one: a real external problem, a physical state (sleep debt, no food), and an identity threat. Very different fixes. 3. Anchors you back to why you started. One sentence. No quotes, no poster slogans. 4. Hands you three concrete moves for the next 60 minutes. Or permission to stop for the night, if that's the honest call. 5. It will not tell you "you got this." It will tell you to close the 14 tabs, drink water, send the one email you've been avoiding, and come back when move 1 is done. If you mention self-harm or crisis, it drops the coach voice immediately and points you to real human resources. That part matters. I tested it four times before release. Why I'm sharing it free Because I needed this tool. I built it in an afternoon with Claude. It took me four rounds of testing to get the voice right. If it helps one founder in this community get through a hard night, that's the whole ROI for me. Also because I think the "AI Clone that thinks like you" idea that Tony, Dean and Igor teach is exactly right, and skills are one of the cleanest ways to do it in Claude. If you've never built one, this is a good first one to install because it's short, it's complete, and you can see inside it.
