Hello everyone, My name is Martin and I live in Victoria, Australia. I spent 15 years as a police officer in the UK before moving to Australia many years ago. Since then, much of my life has been centred around supporting people and communities through volunteering, mentoring and community projects. These days I am retired and, like many others, have experienced the challenges that can come with major life transitions. Finding purpose, staying connected, maintaining friendships and continuing to contribute to something meaningful are all things that matter deeply to me. I recently came across Life Beyond Booze and was immediately drawn to the positive and supportive atmosphere. The focus on building a fulfilling life rather than simply giving something up really resonated with me. I don't claim to have all the answers, but I am always happy to share experiences, encourage others, listen without judgement and offer support where I can.
