Monitor your music before distributing
Some people from today's Mastering lesson were concerned about the (-14LuFs) thing from Spotify but I think some missed the point that each platform has its own specific readings they stick to. Caleb did a wonderful job explaining why those numbers are arbitrary and why we should aim to get the best clean loudness as we can. That said if you'd like to know how your tracks will sound pre-distribution, you can load your songs into Loudness Penalty: Analyzer and they'll give you multiple readings from how DSPs will handle your music based on their target Lufs. Loudness Penalty is free and they now have this in plugin form which is new to me. This could be of use to take some worry off your plate. (Loudness Penalty is NOT a distributor just a reference source) Have a good rest of the day ya'll 🤘
