A superb welcome to France for me
I was filming today in the Coupe de France and 3 French players of quite superb talent came up to me and thanked me for my footage. One in particular mentioned he has been suffering with shooting and my videos really helped him. He spoke pretty good English and made a huge thing of telling all present that I had “saved his game”. This was a remarkable thing for me. Especially as I have never been to this area or club

Fantastic
Membership on my YouTube is now available
I decided to add memberships to my channel as a way to make a little money and add extra value to people. When I leave the UK I won’t have any income so I’ll be working hard to deliver the best information about the game as I can. I plan to offer LOTS of extra videos of game analysis with in depth commentary, reasoning behind decisions and advice for players of all levels. What kind of content would you like to see here in Skool as well as if you were to become a member of my YouTube community?

Very interesting - and some good camera angles to analyse on. one question: looking at the first game. I can see that Anna Maillard always draw a "V-mark" in the gravel. - I have seen it done before, also here in Denmark. But got the opportunity to ask the question: I guess it makes sense if there a no boarders markering the limits on the terrain, but why on competition court? And in a open terrain - what are the rules? - when are the jack out (measured from the "V-mark"

@Xavier Tizon Thanks a lot. I have read the rules several times, but obviously missed that paragraph. Thank for link and the reference.
Petanque abstinence
"Winter is here..." In Denmark is has been quite windy, snowing and below freezing point for several weeks. We do have indoor petanque terrains/pitchs in Denmark but from where I live just north of Copenhagen, it is quite a driving distance. So I went to a nearby "Boulebar" (the one and only indoor in Copenhagen). 90 minutes for 125 danish "kroner" - thats approx 17€ or 15£. Just by myself and with the purpose of training pointing and (mostly) shooting. One from the nice staff joined my for 15 - 20 minutes - and I "won" 10-7... Anyway - It was nice to do some petanque practice. And some of the pitchs are quite challenging. If You suffer from the winter and have a boulebar or the like nearby - it is highly recommend. Alone for training or with friends for playing, or just for fun - You can buy beer as well.

@Kevin ORourke interesting - training swing without a boule. I will try that.
It’s time to go ALL IN
Tomorrow I give my notice to my employer and landlord. I’m off to live and play in Aigne near Carcassonne. I’ll be filming regularly and offering French Boule breaks when I’ve sorted everything. It’s time to make my coaching a priority and to unleash myself on the French Petanque scene and document the entire process. You heard it here first
