Welcome! — Let’s Meet You & Your Dog
To get started, please introduce yourself and your dog. Tell us a bit about who you are, what you’re working toward, and what brought you to the Nordik K9 Training & Education Community Hub. We’d love for you to include: • Your name and where you’re from • Your dog’s name, breed (or best guess), and age • A photo of your dog (working, relaxing, or being chaotic — we love all versions) • Your current training goals or challenges • A funny or unique fact about your dog • How long you’ve been training or working with dogs This helps us build a supportive environment where members can connect, learn, and grow together. We’re excited to get to know you and your dogs.

Good morning Everyone, My name is Marti; I’m the proud mother of 3; Alexus & Maia (my daughters) and “Sir” Prancer my one and only 4 year old “son” (Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix). We reside in Innisfil Ontario; however we will be travelling Europe together in the future. I adopted him (or should I say rescued him); as he tried chewing the metal play pen gate to get back into my arms. It was love at first sight; even with his extremely bad “cologne” (fetal/urine/not bathed odour). My eldest daughter named him Prancer because he moved around our backyard like the baby deer; prancing and jumping. He brought me a bunny to rescue, while chasing away squirrels like a race horse. He entered my life when we both obviously needed each other; even though I stated I never wanted another dog…good thing I adopted a son! 😉 Prancer fell in love with your facility with his side kick Coco. You managed to trim her down while we were away but I assure you; my roommate and best friend didn’t stick to the plan. 😞 They both need the attention and training you provide; especially Prancer has he is bored. Therefore, my next step is finding a way to enrol him finally one or twice a week to build his confidence and obedience especially in public places like airports, crowds and to be able to safely travel as my companion. My goals are simple; there is a time to play and a time to balance behaviour in a strange environment with class and obedience. I need to be the best mum possible for Prancer.
Suggestions For Live Sessions: What do YOU want to learn? 👇
As we start building out more content inside Skool, we want to make sure it’s actually useful for you and your dog... not just what we think you need. We’re going to be running live Q&A sessions and training breakdowns, and this is your chance to shape what we cover. Maybe you’re working on: - Getting that clean, consistent sit - Better leash manners - Understanding tools like prong collars or slip leads - Building engagement and focus - Choosing the right dog for your lifestyle - Fixing something that just isn’t clicking Or maybe you’ve got a completely different question... we want to hear it. Drop your questions or topic ideas below 👇 No question is too simple or too specific. Let’s build this into something that actually helps you make real progress with your dog 🐕
