Do I like ME?
Someone close to me asked If I like the person I see From the image in the mirror, That reflection staring back at me. I pondered upon their question, A moment of self-reflection, For the answer wasn't immediate, It required introspection. In the mirror, I saw flaws, But also strengths and grace, A journey of self-discovery, In that reflection's face. I've made mistakes and learned, Grown wiser through the years, The mirror shows my battles, And the triumphs through the tears. With a smile, I replied to them, "I'm learning to love what I see, For in every imperfection, There's a piece of the real me." In the mirror, I find a friend, A companion on this quest, To love the person I'm becoming, To be my own true

The Gift of Minds (this took me hella long to do)
Posting an older excerpt today. This is a snippet from a longer project I’ve been working on on-and-off for… honestly, about 14 years at this point. This particular scene is one I went full perfectionist on — I worked on it for months, revisiting and refining it way more than I normally would. Sometimes you get the itch, you know? This is NOT the kind of thing I advocate trying to aim for every day. If we all did this all the time, nothing would ever get shared. I’m posting it more as a contrast: an example of what my writing looks like when I really slow down and give something a long runway. I’m still proud of this one, and I come back to it every now and then. It was also the first time I seriously used song as a narrative tool, so I put a lot of care into making that aspect work, almost in a LOTR style. I’ve attached the excerpt below. There’s also a very light lore primer, since this was written for fans of a specific setting (Warhammer/Warhammer 40k) and jumping in completely cold might be a bit weird otherwise. As always: rough drafts, half-formed scenes, and messy experiments are very much the point here — this is just one snapshot from the other end of the spectrum. ----- Very Light Lore Primer (optional, skimmable) - Itza – An ancient temple-city of the lizardmen; a major center of their power and thought. - Slann – Immensely old, psychic frog-priests who rule the lizardmen. Think philosopher-kings whose debates can literally reshape reality. - Saurus / Skink / Kroxigor – Different castes of lizardmen: Saurus are warriors (8 foot tall t-rex men), skinks are human-sized attendants/scribes, kroxigors are giant crocodile men - Ayacmanik – A parasitic, body-snatching hive-mind species. Highly dangerous, highly intelligent, and the subject of intense debate over whether they should be destroyed… or given true sapience. - Isendral – An Eldar (basically: space elf). An ancient, god-adjacent being involved in the creation of entire species. - Eldar – Long-lived, highly advanced “space elves” who shape worlds more through art, song, and intuition than machinery. - What’s actually happening in this scene: The opening “battle” isn’t literal. It’s a psychic debate among the Slann, where competing ideas manifest as enormous symbolic creatures and fight it out. The outcome of that clash determines a real, world-shaping decision: whether the Ayacmanik will be awakened as a thinking species.

@Gabriel Xantalos Really engaging piece. Coming in as someone new to this world, I was struck by how imaginative and intentional the writing is. Turning abstract ideas and debates into vivid, physical action made the concepts feel alive rather than theoretical, which I really appreciated. The worldbuilding is clearly very thoughtful and layered—you can tell there’s a lot of history and structure behind it. At times it’s dense, but that also reflects the care and depth put into the story. The themes around creation, responsibility, and choice come through strongly, especially in the final moments, which felt both powerful and thought-provoking. Overall, this reads like part of a much larger, meaningful story. Strong work—this definitely made me curious about what comes next.

My intro 🧡💛🧡
Hey everyone, my name is Written, and I am an Hip Hop & Spoken Word Artist who writes lyrics & poetry. Right now I’m preparing to release my first official Spoken Word project, which is just a single piece, showcasing the foundation of who I am as an Artist, and as a person in general. At this time, I'm looking to connect with like-minded individuals, including other Artist, who appreciate writings, and conversation in general, above the status quo. Much love 💕

By Design, for Me
This year, I choose myself. Not in selfishness, but in sacred self-love. Not in neglect of others, but in honor of my own becoming. I release the weight of guilt that once made me believe rest was weakness and boundaries were betrayal. I now understand: to love myself is not to abandon the world— it is to finally stand whole within it. I will no longer perform my life from obligation. I will no longer give my days away as proof of my goodness. Whatever I choose to do, I will do because my spirit says yes— not because my heart was cornered by expectation. I see now how many put themselves first while hiding behind the language of sacrifice. I no longer compete with that illusion. I simply choose honesty. So I heal the hurt. I forgive the past. I release what no longer knows my name. And I remember— no matter what unfolds, I must be my first priority.
