Duped by dupes
I need help with something. I’ve been in the fragrance staying for a while now. However, I’m curious about what this community feels about dupes. There are so many now! I’ve tried some just for fun and I’m not sure why they’re not getting sued more often. Many are quite good. Further the price to evaluate she was amazing. However, I am a bit of a pure, and so I feel a pain of regret when I use this instead of the “real thing.“ Does anybody have any information about: one how do they do this and two what are the arguments for and against buying these?

@Robert Sheard thanks for your reply. I have similar feelings about the creatives. However, do you ever feel that sometimes the “creative” are taking advantage with the prices that they ask for?

@Vin P This challenging as most of the tobacco scents aren't tobacco enough for me. I do like tobacco oud by Tom Ford, Precious Liquid and 1821. If you want a softer take, Herod by Parfums de Marly. Let me know if you find one with a strong tobacco scent and, good luck!

@Vin P you bet. I’d like to see a version of smoky and bold and then a softer variety. Maybe one combined with some fresh scents to use at work. After all, they are using oud everywhere.
Interesting question for the group: do fragrances from countries follow a pattern?
I have bought many fragrances from different parts of the world and it seems there are similarities when I buy them from the same country or region. For example, the colognes I have purchased from England seem to be more old school, light. From the Middle East - alot of oud and louder. Thoughts? For a challenge, can anyone name me a cologne from Britain that is very masculine?

@Raymond Reeves I like that Raymond. I had not thought about subdividing what it means for a cologne to be “masculine.” Thanks for the frame-shift.

@Jd Hazel Aha! So I did detect a different style. Why do you think this is? Does it go beyond just what they have near them? That is, what is available nearby?

🧥 What’s the Best Way to Layer Leather Scents?
Leather can go in so many directions - smooth, smoky, or sweet. When you layer, what do you pair it with most? - Amber - for warmth and depth - Smoke - for that dark, mysterious edge - Vanilla - to smooth it out - Woods - for a grounded, natural vibe - I don’t layer leather - it’s bold enough alone 💬 Drop a comment if you’ve got a combo that always gets compliments.

Have not tried layering. Most of my leather scents are already fairly complex. I am interested in doing this. Can you give me some suggestions of less complicated layerable (sp) component fragrances?
