July Reflection #3
Wednesday Reflection: Listening Like a Leader Keep your answers brief, one-word answers if possible. How many conversations did you have to remind yourself to listen first and confirm what you heard, before considering your response? What was the hardest part of this exercise? What made it difficult? What went well? What is your biggest takeaway?

Id say at least 3, being patient, or repetitive, relief after stating my opinion, identify who appreciates your opinion as soon as possible.

@Justin Peterson trying to see the situation from a view outside of self, or the desire of the other, and setting a goal for the direction I would like the conversation to go.
July Reflection #2
Wednesday Reflection Keep your answers brief, one-word answers if possible. Did you communicate clearly? If Yes: Were the results of your conversation better once you stopped hinting? How did the other person respond? If No: What kept you from saying it directly? What wording would help you next time? Future thinking: What's the biggest lesson you learned from this exercise? What's one conversation you can be clearer on next week because of what you learned this week?

I've been there Gabrielle. Yes, in surprise, as his advocacy was in complete opposite to my stance on the matter, but neither agreed or disagreed. If I don't advocate, decisions will be made without my input, but because I've been in my field for nearly 17 years, people actually listen, though I've only worked in a few places, that may build credibility, on my end. About what value I bring to my current employer.
July Reflection #1
Wednesday Reflection Keep your answers brief, one-word answers if possible. Did you have the conversation? If Yes: Was reality easier or harder than the version you'd built in your head? What did avoidance cost you that you didn't realize until afterward? If No: What stopped you? What's one thing you'll do differently before the end of the week? Future thinking: What's one conversation you won't avoid next week because of what you learned this week? What's your biggest take-away?

It could be important to share your experience of a difficult time to a leader who is new, to help influence their decision making if they don't have all the details and experience in the situation.
July Challenge #1
Monday Challenge The Conversation You've Been Rehearsing The Problem: There's a conversation you've already had... a dozen times. Just not with the person who needs to hear it. You've rehearsed it in your head. You've imagined every possible outcome. You've told yourself you'll do it when the timing is better. The timing isn't the problem. Avoidance is. The Truth: Every day you avoid the conversation, you're making a decision. You're choosing temporary comfort over long-term clarity. The Challenge: Identify the one conversation you've been avoiding. Have it before next Monday. Not perfectly. Just honestly. Accountability: Comment with one word describing the conversation and one word describing when. Examples: - Feedback, Monday  - Conflict, Tuesday  - Expectations, Wednesday  - Apology, Thursday  - Performance, Friday  - Boundaries, Saturday  (No details required.)
