New Live Call Series: Coffee & Kicks ☕️ 🥊
Happy 2026 all! I’ve been wanting an opportunity to stir more conversation and opportunities to connect in this community so I’m launching a new series of live calls every week called “Coffee & Kicks!” ☕️ 🥊 It will be a 30 minute call (may be longer depending on how this goes) where we grab coffee and get to know each other + nerd out on all things fitness, martial arts, & kickboxing -this can be questions you might have on something you struggle with, a cool martial arts movie, training clip you saw online, in my case I’ve been on a Jackie Chan binge and there’s so much I’d love to share about his movie stunts and training style. Currently setting our calls for the weekend on Saturday 1pm but let me know in the comments, if that time doesn’t work and we’ll run a poll for better time slots. Super excited to get this going and hoping to see you all there 🙌

Love this idea for kicking off 2026! ☕️ Saturday at 1pm works sometimes for me, Saturday or Sunday is when I do my longer group bike rides. I’m especially pumped to hear more about Jackie Chan’s stunt training and how we can apply some of that to our own workouts.

@Rajesh Nair Sounds great! I’m looking forward to it. Flexibility works perfectly.
Training Motto Of The Week "Think Gold"
🏆 "Think Gold And Never Settle For Silver" - Jim Afremow 🏆 A great quote referencing the mindset of Olympic athletes and their mindset in training. They are actively envisioning a gold standard, not just at time to perform, but the months and years in prep before it 💪 Like it or not, the results of our workouts are determined by the standards we set for ourselves 💯 If we have a standard to just show up, to just "survive" the workout - then that is all you will be able to do - survive and get the bare minimum 👎 But if we set the standard higher to not just "survive" but to "thrive", to go above and beyond, and set a standard of GOLD - the results will be something we will truly be proud of and testament of our work ethic ✅ 🚨 So what does it mean to set this standard and "think GOLD" - it means showing up early, warming up properly, envisioning what you will do, setting gameplans of what you wish to achieve, pushing through exhaustion or pain or doubt or any negative emotions holding you back, not making excuses and raising the bar from your previous performance 🚨 This is the GOLD standard 🥇 It is hard, it is painful, and it is what separates 99% of people who don't push themselves consistently from the 1% who give everything everytime 🏋️‍♀️ Apply this mentality to your training and see how it pushes you to a new level. What does Gold standard training look like for you this week?

Love this message “Think Gold” is such a powerful reset for mindset and effort. It’s amazing how simply raising your internal standard can completely transform your performance. For me, the gold standard this week means showing up with focus, finishing strong, and turning every rep into a chance to grow 🥇🔥

1st Ninja Move of the Month: Tornado Kick!
What's up guys! I'm super excited to share that I'm working on the first Ninja Move in the Ninja Move series that will really make this community fun - and that's the Tornado Kick! I've been watching a few tutorials and I'm slowly getting the hang of the movements. The video below is my second attempt at this but I'm already feeling the speed and power this move can really unlock. It will take me a while to get the jump and speed fully without falling over so thats why I'm giving myself a month to really dig deep in this move. Here are the steps I've learned so far: 1. Turning on the front foot 2. Turning on front foot and lifting back foot across (try to bring that knee up!) 3. Turning front foot, lifting back foot, then jumping off front foot while landing on back foot. 4. Turning front foot, lifting back foot, then jumping off front foot and roundhouse kicking with it while landing on back foot. Of course - this is a very limited breakdown and I will go in more depth with a video of my own. For now here's a solid breakdown by Sensei Seth on Youtube on it. But for now definitely don't attempt a move like this cold, it requires mobility in our hips and stability in our joints for the jump and landing, so warm up and make sure your hips and knees are strong! So if you have stiff hips, check the video in the classroom on working hip mobility and do that first before attempting this!

That’s awesome! The Tornado Kick is such a dynamic choice to kick off the Ninja Move series. Your breakdown makes it super approachable, and I like that you’re emphasizing hip mobility and safety first. Can’t wait to see your progress video, this move’s going to look epic once you get the full spin and power dialed in!

@Rajesh Nair That’s awesome to hear! It sounds like your consistency with both the Tornado Kick and mobility work is really paying off. Love seeing that kind of progress, especially when it supports long-term strength and performance!
Monday Motivation: "Getting Started"
"If you need perfect conditions to start, it means your success is conditional. If you want unconditional success, then be willing to start in under any circumstance" - Alex Hormozi Hardest part in our fitness/ninja journeys is often starting. We have our built in excuses. "I'm too busy. I've got kids to take care of. I'm too tired after work. It's the holidays - I'll start next year." ❌ The truth is even if you finally had 0 excuses, you would most likely fall off the moment times get tough - what needs to change is our mindsets. A mindset that says "no matter what, I'm doing this." This is the mindset that creates discipline, consistency and most of all RESULTS. 💯 This week, don't make any excuses. Get started now 💪

Powerful message 💥 waiting for “perfect” is just another form of procrastination. The real growth starts when you show up despite the obstacles. Discipline over conditions every time. 💪

@Rajesh Nair might have taken some discipline here

What's up! Welcome to NinjaFit 🥷 - I'm so excited to have you on this journey with us to become powerful, mobile and shredded ninjas! Please take the first step with us and drop a quick intro of yourself in the community chat that includes: 1. Your name 🙋‍♂️ 2. Where you are from 🌍 3. What’s your fitness background - or if you don't have any, what got your interest with this community? 💪 4. (Optional) A fun non fitness related fact about yourself 😁 Please try to comment and engage with the 2 other users in this post so we can all get to know each other! I'll start it off - I'm Raj from Virginia, near DC and I've trained nearly 10 years in martial arts. Starting off with 4-5 years of wrestling and BJJ, then another 4-5 years of a mix of Tae Kwon Do, Boxing and Muay Thai. Aside from all this, I love writing and have written short stories since I was 12, even a full sized novel when I was 22 (it's not very good but it was a fun experience)
