Race suggestion 🇪🇪 Heavy Metal Ultra 🤘
Since many of you in this community are from Estonia, I wanted to share an exciting race opportunity for the late summer season of 2025. 🌟 👉 Heavy Metal Ultra – a Backyard Ultra event happening on 10 August 2025 in Keila, Estonia, just outside Tallinn 🇪🇪 For those unfamiliar, a Backyard Ultra is a truly unique challenge: you run a 6.7 km loop every hour, on the hour, until only one runner remains. It’s a test of endurance, strategy, grit, and resilience like no other. I participated in this race last year, and it was an absolute blast! Beyond the fun, it was also an incredible learning experience that pushed me to discover new limits. Whether you're aiming for your first 50k, 80k, 100k, or even 160k+, this format is perfect for testing yourself, dialing in your fueling strategy, and seeing what you’re really made of. 👊 This is not a sponsored or affiliated post. I have nothing to do with the event. It's just a unique and fun race I believe any seasoned runner should try. Race has a limited 100 spots and as of today there's only around 25 spots left. Backyard Ultras are exploding in popularity, and for good reason. It’s not just a race – it’s an experience. There are many Backyard Ultras all around eastern Europe, but HMU is one of the oldest and original. Have you heard of a Backyard Ultra before? Maybe you’ve even participated in one? How many loops do you think you could complete?
