Morning can you tell me what and if this company is any good ? Also if I start on berberine what the best dose mg ?

Good morning Tess, Thank you for the questions and I’ve just taken a glance at Bettervits UK, I went straight to their B-complex as that is always a good way to gauge a supplement quality and the companies integrity. I can safely say I was VERY impressed. See attached image, you will see they have used the methylated version of Folic acid known as Methylfolate, and a whopping 500mcg. This is much better as it has already been pre converted into its usable form. The same goes for the methylated B12. The dosages are all high too for the other Bs. They added Choline which is great for brain and liver health and used to be known as B4 and rarely features in lower grade B complex. So if this same standard is carried through all of their products then I think you found a great company to buy off, they’re certainly living up to their name. Your 2nd Q regarding Berberine. Usually it comes as a 500mg capsule and is recommended to take just at the beginning of when you eat, if you forget you can still take it shortly afterwards. Clinical studies used 1000mg -1500mg per day and found weight loss results were noticeable within 8 weeks. Now, this would suggest the subjects had three meals a day and took one capsule at each meal. This may not be necessary If you intermittent fast and your blood sugars are already stabilised or quite low in the morning, in fact taking berberine in a fasted stated can lower your blood sugars so much you can risk dizziness and even passing out from hypoglycaemia. Which almost happened to me once. Berberine really does work for lowering blood sugars. Also if you happen to be consuming a keto meal or anything that is low carb and low sugar but high protein then again Berberine may not be necessary as there will be no natural spike in your blood sugars from this type of meal.

Keto “Lasagne”
aka Bolo Bake Stack 😂 a name I invented for it lol. So I used 3 of the low carb tortillas from BeFree which are only 3.5g of carbs each, made a ragu sauce with a splash of red wine for depth and flavour and for the topping I mixed by cottage cheese with one egg, sprinkled in some grated italian cheese and once spread over the top added a sprinkling of mozzarella and nutmeg. 👌🏼 Bang it in the oven for 25-30 mins. Very easy to do and delicious. (I wouldn’t make a very good food photographer) 🙈
