This week’s homework: what do you NEED& respond.
I’m inviting you to join me in a little practice this week: notice what your body is asking for, and answer when you can. Thirsty? Drink the water. Need to pee? Please go. 😄 Been on your feet all day? Legs up the wall for five minutes. Feeling stiff? Stretch. Need some air or sunshine? Step outside. Tired and you have a moment? Sit down, close your eyes, and rest. The list could go on. We’re often very good at responding to everything on our lovely to-do lists while asking our bodies to please wait until later. So this week, we practice something different: recognize the physical signal and respond to it as soon as reasonably possible. And yes, this includes yoga. Yoga doesn’t always have to mean a 90-minute practice or working toward some impressive posture. Sometimes yoga is five minutes on the floor because your back needs it. Sometimes it’s one stretch. Sometimes it’s simply putting your legs up the wall. These little moments say something important: My body matters. My needs matter. I am worth responding to. That, to me, is a very practical form of self-respect—and maybe even a little self-love. Join me this week. And tell me in the comments what you noticed: when did you listen and respond? And when did you catch yourself saying, “Later…”? I’ll share mine too. ❤️

Yes I am so glad you have the website going! I was injured for a little while and just started back up yesterday. I love that short practice idea, it gets you moving right in the morning and gets you thinking that you need to move and for 5 minutes there is always time! And of course I will make it to whatever you may have going, I literally just started moving again yesterday! Miss you and please let me know what you have planned and when your ready, I know life gets in the way... ❤️
Back Online 🙌
Hey Wolfpack! 👋 Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work—getting clear on my purpose, the direction of this community, and the kinds of offers and resources I want to create for you. I wanted to build this on a solid foundation instead of rushing, I’m happy to say that I’ll officially be back starting this Thursday! 🎉 I’ll be recording, creating, and sharing with you again regularly. Thank you so much for your patience. I truly appreciate you sticking with me. And yes… there are some exciting things coming! I can’t wait to take this next chapter with you. See you then! ❤️

The Energy Leak You Didn’t Notice
If you don’t know me yet… I like to motivate by educating. 😉 By showing you what can happen in the body and what can often be prevented, when we take a little bit of time each day to care for our posture. In the picture below, you can see a very common spinal misalignment. When your spine has its natural, optimal curves, your body carries the least amount of unnecessary loads There is less stress on the muscles, fascia, ligaments, and other connective tissues Your body can support you with much more ease. Here’s the broad stroke: Your body has tissues that are designed to help keep you upright. And your body has tissues that are designed to help you move. When your spine moves away from its optimal center of gravity on a chronic level, the muscles that are supposed to help you move now have to help hold you upright. My teacher used to say:“It’s an expensive way to live in your body.” Because now your body needs way more energy just to make it through the day. Think of it like this: 🐢 Some muscles are like the turtle. Slow, steady, enduring. These are the deeper postural muscles and supportive tissues that can work for hours and help keep you upright. 🐇 Other muscles are more like the rabbit. Quick, powerful, ready to move like your biceps, quads, and other bigger movement muscles. But when the rabbit has to do the turtle’s job all day long? That rabbit gets tired, cranky, overworked, and eventually… something starts talking. TENSION - ACHE 😣- PAIN ! • more tension • less energy • headaches • tight shoulders • shallow breathing • stiffness in the neck • fatigue by the end of the day • that general feeling of “ugh, why does my body feel so heavy?” Every inch your body moves farther away from its optimal dynamic posture can make daily life more energetically expensive . So, my loves, this is your loving little posture reminder: Take 15 minutes. Do something ! https://www.skool.com/yoga-40-7155/classroom/45fc896d?md=53acafab71a84e12bf44246af29ec852

Hi Doreen, I was away in Florida for 2 weeks and just listened to your little update. When do you think you will start doing the live online classes?
Taking a Step Back to Move Forward
Hey friends, I wanted to pop in and share what's been going on. For personal reasons, I've had to step away from my teaching position at Temecula Yoga Collective after twenty years there. It was a really hard decision to make, and honestly, I needed a few days to process all the emotions that came with it. This has been a big change for me. But I'm back now and ready to be here with you all again. If you want to chat about anything yoga related or just need to connect, I'm here. Thanks for your patience while I took care of myself.
