Hi
Hi everyone, I am just about to return to Australia (Byron Basy - Gold Coast) after being in the UK for 2 years. I have self-published 3 books and am looking to spend more time as a writer .. Looking forward to learning and connecting ..

@Adrian Hanks Welcome! It sounds like you’ve already built a great start with three self-published books, and moving back to Australia sounds like the perfect opportunity to focus more on your writing journey. Wishing you a smooth transition back and lots of inspiration ahead. What type of books have you published so far?

@Indy M That sounds like a wonderful and meaningful project. Women’s self-help and empowerment books can really make a positive impact when they reach the right audience. Have you already thought about how you’d like to promote your book and increase its visibility, or are you still exploring different marketing ideas?

@Indy M That sounds like a great plan! TikTok and exploring a few different marketing channels can be a really effective way to get your book in front of more readers. Are you planning to handle the promotion yourself, or are you looking for some professional help with it? Also, have you ever heard of Klaviyo marketing and how it can be used to build and engage an audience?
If you aren’t using social media to market…
how are you planning on getting sales? Are you going to be doing more in person sales through vendor events? Do you have a giant email list you’ve built over the years that you will be taping into? Let us know other ways you can market your book besides social media. (But also, I’m a strong believer that you definitely SHOULD be using it 😁)

@Lisa Cron Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s encouraging to hear how much of a difference the right guidance and a well-planned strategy made in your publishing journey. I completely agree that quality content and effective marketing need to work together for long-term success. I also appreciate your willingness to support fellow authors and share what you’ve learned along the way. Out of all the changes you made, which one had the biggest impact on improving your book sales?

@Lisa Cron Thank you for sharing that. It’s a great reminder that success often comes from having a clear strategy rather than relying on random tactics. I also agree that guidance from someone experienced can save a lot of time and help avoid costly mistakes. For my next book, I’d say my focus is a combination of growing readership, increasing sales, and building a stronger long-term author brand. Since you’ve worked closely with a publishing expert, what was the first change they recommended that had the biggest impact on your results?

Hi everyone 👋 Glad to be here. I just joined the community and I’m really happy to be accepted. I’m new to the author space and hoping to learn a lot from people here who are already on this journey. I’ve always had interest in writing and storytelling, so I decided to take it seriously and start learning more about it. If anyone has advice for someone just starting out, I’d really appreciate it. Looking forward to learning, connecting, and growing with everyone here.
