BOX TRUCK REQUIREMENTS ??
Hey there community!! I'm going over the lists in the basics training video and I came across this information when I was looking up requirements online. do we as dispatchers need to ask the carrier of a box truck if they have an ELD (electronic logging device).on their truck as part of the broker packet? Thanks in advance
Documents
Hello there! I would like to share a list of some documents we use on a daily basis in this business, i i am missing any, please let me know. As dispatchers, we should ask our carriers a copy of: MC Authority, W9, COI, NOA, CDL, void checks, pictures of their trucks, plates, trailers. To book loads, the brokers will send you: Set up: they will send you a link to Highway or RMIS, or they can sen you a pdf to fill in, and they will ask you to send them all the documents i me tĆo es previously along with the carrier agreement / packet completed. Rate confirmation: you will have to sign this contract to accesorio the loads, but you need to read it carefully, brokers are human and they can make mistakes, and if that is the case you need to inform them for them to send you a corrected RC. If you can think of another documents, please let me know, i would apareciste your feedback! Thank you!

@Roger WillenborgThank you for replying. I did the research and got familiar with non-domicile CDLs, what is means right now in the U.S. and also NOA's. Thanks again for that. What do you mean when you said you make sure to prove they are "veterans for your service?" Thanks again. šŸ’ŖšŸ½

Be Honest What’s ONE Thing You Wish You Learned Earlier in Dispatching?
Hey everyone I’m new here and diving into dispatching, and I’ve realized this industry can be simple… but not always easy. So I’m curious What’s one thing you really wish someone told you earlier? Could be about negotiating, dealing with brokers, managing carriers, or even the mindset part. Your answer might save someone here MONTHS of struggle including me šŸ˜…

Hi everyone. @LaToya C. Michelle I learned to be ready before making the calls. Understanding routes, watching videos how to or negotiation calls so you get a feel for what is said, the jargon used. I just joined myself and still doing the course. I'm more methodical to my approach on things so it will be a few weeks before I start. My overall advise is to take your time. We are different, learn different. I have over 30 years of dispatching experience and worked with supply chain management so I'm familiar with shipping and freight and even so I'm going to take my time. The possibilities are there. Our group has dispatchers that just started and already have 2-3 clients generation over 10k a month. Good luck to you and all of us. šŸ’ŖšŸ½
NEW: How To Start Truck Dispatching (Part 2)
If you’ve watched the free course inside this Skool community — this is the new and updated version. I rebuilt everything from the ground up. It’s clearer, faster, and way more powerful than the old one. Over the past year, I’ve helped 100+ people start their own dispatching businesses. And after seeing where most beginners get stuck, I realized the old course needed a full update for 2025 — new info, new tools, and a step-by-step plan that anyone can follow. This new course is split into 7 YouTube lessons. Each one builds on the last — showing you exactly how to start your own dispatching business from scratch (no experience needed). In this second video, you’ll learn: - How to set up your business (LLC, EIN, bank, credit) - The 3 tools every dispatcher needs — TrukAI, DAT, and Google Workspace - How to pick your niche and find the right carriers - The mistake 99% of new dispatchers make (and how to avoid it) This is the most updated, beginner-friendly training I’ve ever made — and it’s 100% free. šŸŽ„ Watch Part 2 here → https://youtu.be/2z_8S7NzaX8 Just watch the full video, put it in 1.5x speed, and take notes — it will be worth your time. -Gurpreet
