What does MOVEMENT mean to YOU?
What I’ve been sharing lately is super basic—classical foundation. And I’m going to keep sharing more of it. At some point I’ll move into the more intricate movement, but I’m not rushing that. Because the deeper I go, the more I’m reminded of something… Movement isn’t just “levels.” Beginner. Novice. Advanced. Honestly, even the advanced stuff can be picked up by a beginner depending on how they feel the movement. What matters… is movement itself. And I say that because there was a time when I couldn’t move. I had a torn rotator cuff … and to be real, I still deal with it today. It’s manageable now, but years ago it was bad. I could hardly do anything. And when your body stops moving, your mind starts slipping. Discouragement. Worthlessness. Depression. All of that creeps in. So when I teach, when I share these drills, when I see you all practicing… I don’t take it lightly. Movement is a gift. Movement is expression. Movement is life. I appreciate every single one of you in here — all levels, all backgrounds … showing up… More is coming. And everything will eventually be categorized for clarity (Beginner / Advanced). But the real question underneath all of this is: What does movement mean to you? Comment below. I’d love to hear it. 🙏🏼

It’s said that “the path to the spirit and the mind - is the body.” There’s a lot I can relate with in your post. When we’re not engaging the movement and the body, we are putting our stories and our life force in prison. When we don’t move it, we lose it. For everything to be in harmony we have to keep our waters moving. We are made mostly of water and everything else in The Cosmos, which is constantly an expansion and moving. When we are not moving we’re losing our connection to the harmony of nature around us and within us. It’s one of the reasons why a lot of us who keep moving look younger. Water goes stale when it’s not moving. so to me, movement is our connection with those things that are unseen, which move our life. And also the connection to each other through communication. It’s our stories and our existence personified, manifested in the physical reality. The intersection and exportation of everything that’s within both conscious and subconscious.

To me it’s Breath control. Because it’s the foundation in helping understand rhythm. Controlling the mind. Used for training the body. and for performing with emotions coherently Without breath control we can’t fly.
