What if the business rule isn’t really about business?
I’ve been thinking about the business rules we follow because we believe we have to. For me, one of those rules was that I had to show up consistently on social media, play to the algorithms, and portray myself in a way that was always positive and palatable. Even when I shared a struggle, I thought I had to wrap it up with a positive lesson. But I’m realizing that the pressure to be palatable didn’t begin with social media. It’s a rule I’ve carried throughout much of my life. Business just gave that old rule a new justification. Now I’m experimenting with sharing when I genuinely want to share, keeping some things private, and building relationships in places that feel more like me. I feel better. I feel freer. Sometimes the business rules exhausting us are older life rules wearing professional clothes. What is one thing you believe you have to do to build your business—even though it doesn’t feel right or isn’t working? You don’t have to solve it today. Just name it. I’m also beginning to build a short, practical Classroom experience here in the Operations Room called Build It Your Way: A Breathing Room Reset. It will help you identify one business rule that is creating pressure, choose an alternative that fits you better, and test one small change in your business. This question is where we’re starting. If you respond below, you won’t just be joining the conversation, you’ll also be helping me shape this experience around what people are actually navigating.

Do it! Erin has been helping me with this exact thing, and it has helped me out so much! Not just because it feels more alignment with my strengths, but because it's actually working. Several calls booked, and several people have asked me how I can help them.
Changing Your Perspective
Good morning everyone! I know we have a lot of coaches in this room, which is why I wanted to share this with you. Hope you find this as helpful as I did!

The fear one sticks out to me the most!
Meet the new team!!
Just wanted to introduce you to some new team/family members!!! W we First- you’ve probably “seen” her around. She’s been helping with sites, emails (including this one), and making graphics/enhancing what has been done! She also keeps me organized, or is working on it. It’s Karmi! She’s a mom to a small army! She has 3 kids and 2 bonus kids- ranging from 19 to 5 months. She is going back to school for social work (adding to her life coaching certification), where she is focusing on helping women who are coming out of bad relationships/situations. We met during COVID, grew a friendship and then one day she asked if I needed help and it’s been a great addition to the team!! Next meet Austin, who just happens to be Karmi’s husband (dad to 2 of her kids as well as dad to her 2 bonus kids). Austin works for a food truck but has a lot of tech knowledge and will now be our tech guru! If you need something tech related- they’ll be a link to a Google form for you to fill out to request his help! Please be as detailed as possible!! Since he is wearing many hats in life, please be patient when you put in a request and allow 24-48 hours for him to contact you (unless otherwise talked about). Austin is a recent addition to the team!! He will help where Karmi and I may fall short!!
