🌱 Word of the day: THRIVE
Hoy quiero parar un minuto con una palabra que ha salido en la comunidad: THRIVE No es una palabra fácil de traducir. Survive es sobrevivir. Thrive es algo más. Es seguir adelante. Es recuperarse. Es crecer incluso después de una situación difícil. Example: Some people don’t just survive difficult situations. They thrive. Hoy me parece una buena palabra para acordarnos también de la gente afectada por el terremoto en Venezuela 🇻🇪 No hace falta hacer un gran discurso. Solo una frase. Complete this sentence: After a difficult moment, people can thrive by… Examples: After a difficult moment, people can thrive by helping each other. After a difficult moment, people can thrive by staying strong. After a difficult moment, people can thrive by rebuilding their lives step by step. One sentence. With respect. With heart. And in English. 👇
Morning everybody. After a difficult moment, people can thrive by keeping strong, being quiet, facing pain and believing in overcoming 🔥📈

📰 New piece of news: Weights and longer life
Of course yes. Lift weights is an important habit during all our adult life. From 40-50, our body starts to loose muscle development: we have to do lift workouts regularly in order to face it. A well muscle structure avoids other physical problems like joint injuries and increases our wealth status.
@Jesus Gavira thanks for this correction. Very constructive 🚀
☕️ Monday English Check-in
Vamos a empezar la semana con algo muy simple. No una clase, no una explicación larga. Solo una frase real en inglés. Complete this sentence: This week, I’m going to... Examples: This week, I’m going to practise English for 10 minutes a day. This week, I’m going to speak more and worry less. This week, I’m going to finish something I started. Puede ser sobre inglés, trabajo, deporte, familia o lo que quieras. ☝️ Una frase. ✅ Real. ❌ No perfecta. 🔥 Real. I’ll start: This week, I’m going to keep building this community little by little. Now you 👇
☕️ Monday English Check-in
This week I’m going to organize a few plans for my summer beginning.
Mini práctica rápida 👇
Ojo, no quiero una respuesta perfecta. Solo una frase real con una de estas expresiones: 1. run into = encontrarte con alguien por casualidad 2. run out of = quedarse sin algo 3. run over = atropellar / pasarse de tiempo Ejemplo: Yesterday I ran into an old friend. Ahora tú: Escribe UNA frase con: I ran into... I ran out of... o I ran over... Una frase corta vale.
Yesterday I ran out of creatine, so I had to go with a workmate to decathlon in order to replace it
🧠 ¿Por qué los nativos dicen "run into" y no "encounter"?
📌 PHRASAL VERBS CON RUN "Run" + preposition creates meanings beyond just "correr". These combos sound way more natural in everyday conversation than formal verbs. 💬 English boost Master these and you'll sound less textbook, more real. ✨ 3 ejemplos útiles - I ran into my ex at the coffee shop yesterday. -> Me topé con mi ex en la cafetería ayer. - We ran out of milk this morning. -> Se nos acabó la leche esta mañana. - My car ran over a nail on the highway. -> Mi coche pasó por encima de un clavo en la autopista. 📝 Mini reto Completa con el phrasal verb correcto (run into / run out of / run over): 1. Sorry, we ___ time. We need to leave now. 2. Be careful not to ___ that cat! 3. I ___ Sarah at the gym last week. 20 minutes a day is enough to make real progress.!!! 🙌
🧠 ¿Por qué los nativos dicen "run into" y no "encounter"?
1. Are running out of 2. Run over 3. Ran into
