YouTube Isn't Publishing My DistroKid Albums
Lately I've been having a really frustrating issue with DistroKid. Almost none of my new albums are getting published on YouTube. I did a quick search and it doesn't seem like I'm the only one. I found several Reddit posts where people said YouTube has been receiving such a huge amount of low-quality A.I music uploads that they're becoming much stricter. I don't know if that's actually true, though. The reason I'm skeptical is because I have two other artists distributed through Symphonic, and both of them are still getting their releases published on YouTube without any problems. So maybe this is something specific to DistroKid? I'm really not sure. To avoid flooding, I only upload one album per week (around 15 tracks each), but even then they still aren't showing up on YouTube. At this point it's getting a bit ridiculous. Has anyone else here been dealing with the same issue?

@Leon P My experience has been good so far. I haven't had any issues, and the payments have consistently arrived on the 1st of every month. What kind of issues have you heard about? Have people been getting paid less than expected?

@Leon P They're much stricter about metadata that looks like it's written primarily for search rankings rather than as an actual title. I haven't had any issues with descriptive titles, but they seem less tolerant of keyword stuffing than DistroKid. For example: What they seem to be stricter about is keyword stuffingtitles that look like they're written mainly to rank in search, such as: "Viking Music for Studying, Dark Fantasy Music | Epic Fantasy | Cinematic Music | D&D | RPG | Study Music Those kinds of titles look more like SEO than actual track or album titles. At least that's been my experience so far.

The YouTube Music Issue Is Still Not Fixed
The issue is still ongoing, and it’s becoming very frustrating. As you all know, YouTube Music is our main source of income, and since we can’t publish new releases, views and revenue are dropping. I’ve contacted DistroKid support through several accounts. They resubmitted some albums twice, but nothing has changed. At this point, I don’t know whether the problem is with YouTube, DistroKid, or both. What do you guys think? And has anyone find a solution to this issue?

Same here. I have three artists dealing with the exact same issue. For one of them, I even contacted support twice and asked them to re-deliver the release, but it still never got published on YouTube. I honestly have no idea what's going on. 🥺

@Jake Musician That's why I mentioned in my earlier post that I'm with another distributor as well, and all of my releases are delivered to YouTube and published normally there. Because of that, I'm starting to think this is a DistroKid-specific issue rather than a YouTube issue.
