Honestly, I love it when Past Maddie actually looks out for Future Maddie. 😅 ​When I actually prioritize meal prep, tracking macros and hitting my protein goals becomes infinitely easier. Case in point: today’s lunch. All I had to do was reheat this prepped-ahead Korean beef bulgogi rice bowl and top it with two eggs over-easy. I also had some carrots and cucumbers on the way out the door to take Kestrel to her swim lesson, but they didn’t make the photo op. ​It’s the little wins that keep me going forward when I feel overwhelmed.

​I’m having a great week holding myself to my promises, no matter how small! However, full transparency: I’m struggling to get into this app and listen to the modules. I haven’t listened to a single one yet! 🫣 ​I’ve been in an atypical season of overload with my freelance work this month. While the research is exciting and the income is welcome, I’m struggling to carve out time for myself beyond just eating well, drinking enough water, and taking my supplements. To hit my deadlines, I’ve been working every waking moment, early mornings and "wee hours", while caring for my girls in between. ​Small Glimmers & Wins: 1. I’ve intentionally paused work and meal prep to play with Luna or snuggle with Kestrel. 2. I carved out quality time with good friends to step away from work/family roles twice this past week. ​My promise for this week: Prioritize catching up on the modules and staying committed to my final client deadline this Friday. I am so ready for next week when I have a break from contracts so I can truly rebalance.

​Hi ladies! I’m Maddie. I’ve been close with Melissa since 2020. Our families and kids are tight-knit, and I’ve loved being a front-row supporter of her retreats and offerings over the years. ​I’m joining the HH community and 90-day program because I’m calling in a major reset. Like many of us, I tend to give until my own tank is empty (or in the negative). My plate is currently overflowing: I’m the primary caregiver to my daughters, Luna (6.5) and Kestrel (3.5), a freelance market research consultant, a strategic partner for my husband’s pain management practice, and a heavy-hitter volunteer at our Montessori school (serving as PA President and Room Mom for both girls). ​This year, and specifically for this 90-day sprint, I’m prioritizing balanced nutrition and, more importantly, joy. I want to move away from the "chore-and-task" cycle and find more ways to truly play with my girls to build positive core memories together.
