Seeing God Clearly & Seeing Ourselves as His Beloved
Let’s reflect on something powerful today: How we see God....and how He sees us. In Scripture, God calls His people beloved. In Hebrew, words like יָדִיד (yadid) and דּוֹד (dod) carry the meaning of dearly loved, cherished, and deeply desired. This is the language of closeness and delight. Look at the picture in Song of Solomon 6:10: “Who is this who shines like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, majestic as the stars?” Now remember: in Genesis 1:27 we are told we are made in God’s image. Here's what I want you to see: If God sees His beloved as radiant and glorious like this, it reveals something about His true heart and identity toward us. Discussion: When you think about how God sees you, what comes to mind first?
