Hello Everyone! I’m a Doula based in the UK. Passionate about Jesus and passionate about supporting people. It’s always been birthing families but I feel this is evolving. I’ve taken some time out from Birth work, to take care of my own babies and now I’m looking at going back in to supporting families. I know the Lord wants me to do this in a way that I haven’t before and I’m in a time of listening to Him for the ‘how’. I’m also in the process of building my confidence back, having been out of practice for a while. Very much looking forward to praying for you all and learning from you!

@Mary Green Thank you! It’s tricky to answer in that I’m not completely sure yet. I know the Lord has put things on my heart but I’m attempting to listen to Him on how they weave together. In short, it’s about supporting people, as we do in Birth Work, but looking further and wider into where other types of people need the support we know how to give. Does that make any sense? The last few years have held some pretty big life experiences and a relative keeps telling me that I can use them to support others. I’m passionate to do that! However, they are all entirely different experiences, in different areas of life. I have some ideas but I’m trying to work out how they would look in detail and practice. With regard to birth in the UK. Even though I was born and grew up here, I have more experience in the USA and Ireland. There are many similarities but some significant differences too. Similar to the USA, birth is getting a bad press here currently and I’m so very aware of how counteractive that is to positive birth experiences. So happy to be here and to walk with and learn from you all!
