What are you growing for fall?
Just started some more seeds today! Lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussels sprouts, celery, herbs, and more! What's on your fall growing list? Have you started your seeds yet?

Avocado plant
I have this avocado plant that I’ve grown from seed, he is in the polytunnel for the summer and doing really well do I pinch out the top to make him bushier, also what about all these side shoots do I leave them?

@Faye Ella They are in the polytunnel but since my beds are not very deep and go directly into the ground it can get quite wet over winter so to be safe I will lift them
Picking crops/soil structure
I’m sure I read somewhere when picking crops such as cabbage etc to cut off from just above the soil line and leave the root in the ground as it’s good for the soil structure, is this right and does anyone do it? Do the roots then not get in the way for whatever is put in next?
