Food colouring labels
Do food colourings such as pro gel, colour mill and sugar flair need open and use by dates on them ?

I don’t put a label on the colours, though I do check each colour before using to double check. I’ve got a spreadsheet for the colours with the ingredients listed and the best before date, so I can also use that to know when to dispose and replace the colours too. x

Smooth finish
Any tips on how to get a smooth finish with buttercream on a cake? I always end up with a line from when I finish scraping!!

I use a metal scraper and like Lauren says I also on the last one or two scrapes pour some hot water onto the scraper, starting at the back of the cake go round. I usually end up with one line at the back. You’ll get there with practice. 🙂x
